I'm only now getting around to finally trying Harrows chicken pie after hearing about them for years on a local foodie TV show. The chicken pies are great with a delicious perfect crust and big chunks of chicken. The sauce component was a nice balance of flavor not too salty. I really wanted to love the corn bread but I honestly didn't, it had a bitter flavor, maybe it doesn't contain sugar like some corn bread, but that is my only complaint. The service was pleasant. Just know that it's not a sit down and eat kind of place. Call one hour ahead to pick up hot food to take home or stop in and buy a frozen pie to bake yourself later. The "apartment" pie size is plenty for 2 people.

We have ordered from Harrows several times and never had an issue.. Until now... I bought a fresh pie that I was not going to eat within 2 days, so I wrapped it tightly in glad wrap in put it I the freezer. I cooked it tonight and it smelled delicious as always. My husband and I couldn't wait to eat it. As my husband and I began eating it we both stopped, saying it was NOT right. Everything about the color and smell about the pie was ok, but the flavor was TERRIBLE. When I called she told me I didn't freeze ot right and I was tasting freezer burn so it was my fault. I have frozen these before and have NEVER had this issue. I have also tasted freezer burn on icecream, and this is NOT what we believe to be freezer burn. She offered me nothing, other than "well, its freezer burn.." We will NOT be coming back, and I have many friends/family that I know will not either!

Crust is ok, pie had no flavor. Had to add a fair amount of seasoning to eat it.
Heard about this place a few times and the reviews seemed good, so I decided to check them out. I’m a big fan of a chicken pie so I had high hopes. I wasn’t disappointed. I bought a non frozen pie with chicken and vegetables. Baking it was easy and it tasted good. Chicken was moist and fresh. Only downside is it could have used some more seasoning. I ended up putting some hot sauce on the pie and it was perfect.

We were at some friends and decided to order online. We placed our order and paid with PayPal as the website asked. All was good and we received notification that the order and payment went through. Our friends picked it up and they were charged for the order. They said it was paid for but the claim was that there was no payment. They paid so we could get our food but it leaves me dealing with PayPal to get my money back. So we had them cook it and the pie was good although the gravy was very thin and almost watery but tasted good. We also ordered some squash which didn’t come heated and was more like soup than a side dish. We enjoyed our meal but it could have been better.
