Stop 1 on our State Rd morning bakery tour! Solid breakfast burrito and sausage egg and cheese. Baked goods were pretty good, but we didn’t see much in the way of Scottish menu items. Atmosphere is more of a quick stop for coffee and a sandwich to go than a sit and eat spot.

I sent this picture of a cake for my daughters wedding picture 1
Only 3 tier and 6 layers , I do the flowers
Look what I got for $600 picture 2
So disappointed
If you can’t do the job don’t take the order
Should be ashamed of you work and for charging that much
I am not a part time resident
I’ve lived here for 44,years and my husband is an Islander
We support all island businesses
Don’t worry
All our 150 guests saw this work and know who produced it

Not impressed at all. The service was horrible. I think the name of the person that helped us was Rocco as noted on our receipt. Not friendly at all. Got some sandwiches and I asked for 2 bagels to go. The bagels were horrible. Like worse than bagels in the grocery store. Definitely not fresh. Not was I was expecting from a ‘bake house’. At least let us know before buying bagels for $5 each they aren’t fresh. We had our sandwiches outside. After checking out the bagels in the bag before we left I noticed they were very stale. Tried to return them and was told I can’t get a refund until the manager approves. I even asked for a gift card and denied. I left the bagels with the server and proceeded to call back 3 different times to talk with the manager. I was told each time that someone would give me a call back and yet no one has called me.
DONT WASTE your time or your $$$ here. Can’t believe I spent $10 on 2 stale bagels and I couldn’t get even store credit.

Such a cute place. There were a few vegan baked goods when I went yesterday- carrot cookie, some kind of bar and the linzer cookie which I got. The cookie was soo good. It tasked like maple syrup and oats with raspberry jam. Plus the. Brown rice plate had so many incredible flavors all in one meal. Black beans, brown rice, guac with mango, plantain, and kale. A well rounded meal with carbs, protein, fat, and veg can be hard to find vegan in general.

Had a delicious Mexican rice bowl here with a good dose of guac and beans. The side of plantains was also delicious. Service was fast and friendly, and the social outside cat is an added bonus. The one disappointing bit was the strawberry rhubarb pie - the crust was bad and the filling dense and disappointing. Couldn’t taste the strawberry or find much texture in the pie.

I used to love this place but I was extremely disappointed with my lunch this past Sunday.

I placed my order online, and left my phone number. Apparently they ran out of the mango salsa, a key ingredient in the black bean plate, didn't bother to call me and when I got home with my meal I found some chopped tomatoes and red onions, massively disappointing. Why wouldn't you call the customer? I would have changed my meal entirely, instead I was stuck with a bland meal. On top of that the dish was 90% rice and only 2.5 plantains. I can't believe I paid $18 for that. At least the guy at the counter was friendly but that doesn't make up for the mediocre food.

Honestly don't think I'll ever be back. As an island native I have religiously dined here every time I come to visit family, unfortunately this will be my last time. Makes me sad as this has always been my favorite island restaurant, especially since there aren't many vegan options here, but the quality had slowly decreased over the years and now I'll have to find new favorite.

Smash burger? More like "Smash my hopes and dreams!" ?? This burger was about as smashed as a toddler's attempt at building a sandcastle. Two thick patties that could double as hockey pucks, and not a shred of cheese or sauce in sight. It's like they took the "smash" out of "smash burger" and replaced it with "sad." ?

We waited over 1/2 hour for our 2 sandwiches. We are an older couple and felt very unseen while we waited. An example is the woman that took our order at the counter later asked me if I ordered over the phone or at the counter? After a significant amount of time standing there, I asked to check on our order and going back in the kitchen multiple times, she picks up a bag that had been on the counter awhile and said here you go? She said she didn’t know they were ours. The sandwiches ended up having hardly any meat and the meatloaf sides were burnt. We will never go back again but I’m sure they don’t care.

Placed an order 3 weeks ahead of time, showed up as per instructions from out of state, was informed that they didn't have the order, that they didn't care, and that mabe they'd get to it. Unprofessional, rude, and dissapointing.

I used to come here as a child in the 80’s. My mother and I ordered ahead shortbread, drove 2 hours, took a fairy, and paid for a $50 to lyft there to enjoy a memory from my childhood for my birthday, only for them to not have my order or any shortbread at the shop. The woman working the counter was the most rude and dismissive employee I have ever encountered. She told us , “well the vineyard is nice so there’s plenty to see,” not even an apology for the time, effort, and money wasted to come all the way here. I will never come Here again. This used to be a lovely place owned by a nice old Scottish couple and has become a rude coffee shop like any other. Avoid this shop and choose something in town instead. 0/10

Highly disappointed with the food here was expecting to be better based on reviews. Took one bite out of my egg sandwich and tossed it in the trash. The service well what service cashier doesn’t even really communicate with the you. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This will be my new breakfast spot when I visit the island. They are true farm to table, grow their own veggies, offer a local egg on breakfast sandwiches, have vegan and gluten free bread and pastry options.
