I stumbled upon Sweet Bites while exploring Vineyard Haven, and I’m so glad I did. This little spot has such a warm and inviting vibe—you instantly feel at ease the moment you walk in.
I ordered a mix of sweet and savory items, and everything was spot on. The Brazilian-style empanadas were flavorful and satisfying, and the pastries had that perfect homemade touch. You can tell this place isn’t just about food—it’s about sharing culture and comfort through every dish.
Their coffee was another highlight. Rich, smooth, and served with a smile. I ended up sitting outside for a bit, enjoying the peaceful patio and people-watching while I snacked.
Customer service was excellent—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s a great place whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in with your laptop for an hour.
Just a heads-up: parking in the area can be limited, especially in the summer. But trust me, once you taste what they’re serving, you won’t mind the walk.
If you're looking for a place that feels like a warm hug in food form—Sweet Bites is it. Definitely adding it to my must-visit list whenever I’m on the island.

Sweet Bites is such a hidden gem in Vineyard Haven! I loved everything from the moment I walked in—the place is super cozy, perfect for relaxing, working, or just enjoying a good coffee and something sweet.
I tried a few different things and everything was delicious, especially the brigadeiros and the Brazilian empanadas—wow! You can really taste the love and care they put into every bite. I also had a coffee and it was strong, rich, and full of flavor.
The staff was so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I loved that they have both sweet and savory options, so it’s great whether you’re looking for breakfast or just an afternoon treat.
I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s a perfect spot if you’re near the ferry or walking around town. The only small downside is that parking can be tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, it’s totally worth the short walk.
Highly recommend!

A hidden gem that tastes like heaven and feels like home.
I don’t say this lightly… but Sweet Bites might serve the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had.
From the moment you walk into this cozy island bakery, you can feel the love. The staff is warm, the vibe is welcoming, and everything—from the ingredients to the presentation—is done with care and intention.
But let’s talk about the bowl.
The texture was perfect—not too icy, not too soft.
The fruit was fresh, vibrant, and layered just right.
The granola? Crispy, flavorful, and not overly sweet.
And the toppings? Balanced, generous, and aesthetically beautiful.
It became more than just breakfast.
It became a memory.
If you ever find yourself on Martha’s Vineyard, make Sweet Bites your first stop.
You’ll come for the food, but you’ll stay for the feeling.
And trust me—it’s worth the trip.

I know this place is known for their Sweet Treats and pastries, but their Brazilian empanadas and other specialties are why i'm always going back.

Cake smooshed in a container like they couldn't be bothered to fix it. Food sits for long periods and was super super dry. Brigaderos were trendy but not cared for so they just didn't have good taste.
Delicious!
I’m going to be so honest… their prices are insanely high for what they have to offer. The smallest piece of cake that I got there today cost me 10 dollars, their lattes and everything else is extremely over priced. Not only is it over priced but it’s subpar. If you’re going to charge that much for your food at-least make it good. I can’t believe people actually keep them in business.

I bought 6 Brazilian cheese ball and a coxinha, it was terrible the worst 27 dollars breakfast ever. The cheese balls taste very strong I don’t know what ingredient they used but it was terrible and the coxinha was raw inside RAW. I will never come back. Save your money not worth it .

Stop 4 on our State Rd bakery tour today! This place had a wide selection of savory pastries in addition to sweets. Loved the wrapped up slice of cake idea! Pure genius! Staff was friendly, and the place had good seating both indoors and outdoors for enjoying their offerings. The food gets a mid score only because of the varied experience - one scone was a bit too vanilla, literally, but this wrapped cake thing… it’s an engineering marvel. No soggy cake, just perfectly portable dessert.

Wonderful chocolate birthday cake. Disappointed that the icing was vanilla buttercream (with a few strawberries) and not the raspberry mascarpone I requested
Very polite and nice people. The menu looks delicious. The cappuccino and brigadeiro were great. I definitely will stop by again next time I come back to Vineyard Haven. Great seating area outside and inside is super cute.

Visiting my bf who works out here, and I really needed something quick, tasty and filling on a budget.
The chicken empanada was delicious with flaky crust and loaded with filling. Just what I needed ,> and there's plenty of other items to get next time I visit
