What an awful experience! Though the service was good, the food was abysmal. While our apps were acceptable (longnook salad and a scallop special) the mains were terrible. Both were specials - I had the halibut which was ridiculously dry, no sauce to speak of and enough root vegetables to feed several plates. It had clearly been premade and reheated, probably in a microwave and the 'sauce' was a drizzle under the mound of veggies that served no purpose for the halibut. The grill marks looked fake! My husband ordered the other special Chicken a la King that arrived with shredded dry chicken and no cream sauce. I had one glass of crazily overpriced Sancerre and we each had a dessert (chocolate pie - ok and carrot cake - tiny and meh). The bill was over $250 (after tip). Never again, especially after having wonderful fresh food in other places nearby. Such a shame!

The food was terrible. Chicken a la King was dry and not served in a cream sause and the halibut was dry and flavorless. Both were served extremely hot…artificially so…like they had been heated up in a microwave. The bread was stale. Pretty good service but who wants to spend $250 for that?

We came to celebrate our 6-year anniversary and had a great time! Delicious food, great ambiance, and incredible service. Thank you Eric, Curtis, Chef, and Katie for taking such good care of us :)

Everything we (group of four) ordered was excellent: the pepper squid appetizer, the beer appetizer, the clam appetizer, the halibut special, the short ribs, and the tuna Bolognese - all fantastic. And the chocolate torte for dessert was equally great!
Service was friendly and on spot, and while the restaurant was busy, it was not noisy.

For gad sakes, get in your car and head to Blackfish which competes with the best of the best in Ptown but just a 15 minute ride away in Truro. Each and every item on their menu is terrific and creative. Service is lovely as well.

Very overpriced and not very good at all, every dish we ordered came to the table lukewarm except for the fried oysters. Spent over $200 US. What a shame I expected better based on what people where saying. Definitely not going back.

The toughest reservation in town and I have no idea why. Cocktails were good. Food was meh. Burgers way overcooked (and the server had no reaction to my complaint). Service was so fast it’s like they had our food premade in the back — they turned our three-top table (drinks apps mains) in an hour! Don’t bother.

I find this place to be overrated. It’s hard to get a table online as they claim they have no openings but then you get there when you finally do book and there is hardly anybody in the restaurant. the seafood is very very fresh, but the preparation and flavor is weak, and the portion size is meager. The upitdy lack of energy is the main issue there. Mehhhh

So happy we finally tried Blackfish! Its a cozy spot with a laid back vibe. Everything we ordered was delicious! The beets as an app, a perfectly dressed salad and 2 different fish dishes were so good! We are eager to return as there are other dishes I want to try!

You haven’t lived until you’ve tried the Tuna Bolognese. It’s the kind of dish that could honestly bring world leaders to the same table. If we ever send another spacecraft out to meet aliens, we should probably pack this recipe, right next to Beethoven’s Fifth. It’s that good.
