My recent first visit to lunch at Mendon Street Kitchen in downtown Uxbridge, Massachusetts was a delightful experience. We took our two grandchildren. The outside dining area has great atmosphere with umbrella tables and fun decorations that appeal to adults and children. Our grandchildren loved the grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. My lobster roll was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her BLT sandwich. I learned that Mendon Street Kitchen is a proud sponser of "First Night," a huge Christmas parade in downtown Uxbridge each December. Mendon Street Kitchen is a wonderful boutique eatery. My compliments to the owner chef.

Visiting in the area from RI. Took the dog hiking in Purgatory Chasm and we were looking for a place to have lunch where we might be able to have the dog. Stumbled on MSK and we will be making a point of returning. They welcomed us on the back patio with the dog (even brought her a bowl of water). Menu was relatively small, but the fresh and delicious food made up for it. Soup of the day when we visited was NE Clam chowder which was really good and full of clams. I had a chicken pot pie; fresh, homemade and very good. Tuesdays are taco days and we got a chicken tacos as well, which were solid! Staff were great (and funny). Prices were super reasonable, but we left a bit extra on the tip especially after finding out they operate as a non-profit and raise funds for the town Xmas Parade. Only open during the day, but highly recommend if in the area.

I have used Mendon Street Kitchen for a variety of catering events over the past five years. I have had finger sandwiches, sausage/peppers, Mac and cheese, family style chicken with pasta and potatoes. I hardly have any left overs!!

I got the Porchetta with potatoes, chicken pot pie and clam fritters. All homemade and yummy. I'd order it all again but the Porchetta stood out and was extremely tasty. Super fast and friendly service. Can't wait to go back! Oh and very reasonably priced.

Had lunch here today, chicken taco salad and it was delicious! It was great to catch up with Holly and Tom and the outdoor patio seating was perfect. Good people doing good things for their community. I will go back.

My friend spotted this place one day while she was driving by and she really wanted to check it out!!! Who am I to not check out somewhere new to grab some lunch?!? I was in for the adventure!!! She contacted them ahead of time to get more details (they didn't have a Yelp page yet) and they advised to park across the street at the package store (was it a package store? I think it used to be Lynch's drugstore years ago? I'm not positive anymore). We parked and crossed the street. We weren't quite sure where to go and stopped at the front screen door to ask. They told us to follow around the side of the building to the back. We stepped into their back patio and were quickly in a relaxed atmosphere. The patio was set up beautifully with plenty of tables, umbrellas and lots and lots of plants!!! They came out and helped us pick a nice shaded spot to enjoy our meal. We were offered menus and the woman who seems to be the originator of this 'idea' (her name is fittingly Holly), sat down with us and told us how this venture is all run by volunteers and all the money raised goes towards funding the town of Uxbridge's annual Christmas Parade. She also explained to us (along with her marine biologist daughter) how they are trying to be as environmentally conscious as they can be. All the paper products were recyclable as well as the disposable eating utensils. They also made an extra effort to get canned water as to cut back on plastic. My friend got the chicken pot pie and I got the pastrami sandwich. We were quite pleased with our selections. They have a regular everyday menu and specials everyday. They have limited hours of Tuesday thru Friday from 11-3 pm. Go check them out, you'll enjoy a delicious meal, help a great cause and get to relax on their cute patio!!
