Well kind of bummed I'm only in the area one night and thought this looked like a quaint family Italian restaurant. While the server was relatively attentive the cook must have been in a big hurry. The pasta was undercooked and the shrimp still had the tails on them. I ate rather quickly and left. Bummed 😔
BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN WAKEFIELD MA ! Come by! I am one of the servers my name is Alondra I hope to meet you and give you the best service I can! ❤️
I was traveling from out of town, and I wanted to stop by for a pasta dinner. This place did not disappoint. Service and food were wonderful. The atmosphere was good, and it seems to have an old charm that might share some family roots. Either way, wither you're in town for business or pleasure, even local. You trust this place on good pasta dinners and Italian foods.
Me and my family have been going there quite frequently for the past year . Recently we have been calling in for take out. We have spoken highly of this place . My daughter and I even named our Betta fish “Ciao” & “Amici” . The last couple of call in experiences have been disappointing as far as a good paying customer is concerned. The order was taken and in putted incorrectly and we don’t know this until we get home 20 mins later as we are ready to sit down and eat. This happened not once but twice in the same week, and on top of it the girl was argumentative when we called looking for a resolution. That’s WILD. Being rude to a loyal customer is just not ok. That being said we will not be returning and or placing take out. Train your staff properly. Thank you .
Very tasty italian food.
If you like Italian food, you probably know what I'm talking about. I ordered takeout, the container is ridiculously small, the carbonara pasta is very greasy, it tastes bad, it has a taste of something greasy but not carbonara, you can definitely see who is cooking, don't know how to make it, my pasta had a brown sauce and tasted like oil, I never see carbora with brown sauce, terrible, the cannoli looked like whipped cream, it tasted like absolutely nothing, the picture online looks great but the taste is terrible, I wish I had my money back, disappointed, I will never buy from this place again, I definitely do not recommend it to anyone.
Food was pretty good, enjoyed the lobster ravioli. Service was polite but inattentive even though not very busy. The cocktails were tiny, full of ice and not very good. I wasn't impressed with the dining area, seems like a popular take out spot which might be my next approach.
Best fish! All foods taste great. Service is also great. My four-year old enjoys the tagliatelle bolognese every time.
I would add pictures of our food but it was all eaten! Great food and I was so excited they had gluten free penne. For dessert, my father in law had the tiramisu and loved it. Our waitress was fabulous. We look forward to going back.
The best fish ever tasted in Boston! A must-try for any seafood lover :P

Food & Service are excellent.. you will not be disappointed
A group of 7 of us went there last night. We made reservations, but they had the wrong time for us to arrive, but they sat us anyway.
Our waiter took our drink order, and 45 mins later, only two people received their drinks and after another 15 minutes, everyone got their drink (1 hour). When the final group drinks were received, we put our appetizer and food order in. The apps came at a reasonable time. Once the apps were finished, they brought our two peoples meals. After 10 more minutes, all meals but one were delivered. 5 more minute wait, the last persons meal was delivered, so 15 mins of waiting for each party member to receive their dish. When finished, we went looking for someone to order dessert. Only 3 people ordered dessert, three slices of pie. They arrived quickly, but the pie was frozen.
Although the food was good, the service was so utterly slow. Watching our poor waiter work, it was to hard to be upset with him. He was the waiter, the bartender, the front desk person, the person coordinating all the take out, the dishwasher, for the full restaurant. He worked so hard and it was clear the restaurant was under staffed.
Because of the slowness, we will not be back.
We were greeted warmly upon arrival. We were seated relatively quickly since we had a reservation. We received warm rolls that were very good. We shared a salad that was good but mostly spinach leaves. What was especially disappointing was the lack of attention given to both of us and our order. We waited upwards of 45 minutes to receive our entrees and no one ever checked on us or updated us about its status. The only thing our server Nelson seemed interested in was selling additional drinks. No apology was given when after the food was served and we questioned why it was so delayed. It is a shame since the entrees were very good but we will think twice about returning; especially if we have somewhere to be afterwards. So disappointed as we host functions and thought that this restaurant could be a viable option.
Great food at a great price. The service was the best I’ve received in the area. The setting is nice, spread out and relaxing.
BEST food around! Slice of the North End in Downtown Wakefield. Of the 4 Italian restaurants in the area, Ciao Amici is by far our favorite. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food are top notch and we always have an extremely pleasant experience here. I highly recommend giving it a try and you will find yourself coming back quite frequently. Some of my favorite dishes include: apps- calamari, caprese, grilled octopus, bruschetta. Entrees- typically always get the same because it’s so delicious, chicken parm with fusilli substitute vodka sauce (AMAZING), but the haddock risotto and also the bolognese are a great option too. I never really get dessert out, but their chocolate mousse cake or a cannoli always ends the night perfectly. The wait staff/hosts are the friendliest and sometimes the chef will pop his head out and see how everything is. It is a privilege to have this local gem right here and I wish them the best!
