Service was very quick, drinks were great, and the food was amazing and had portions big enough to be full. We got the biriyani rice, rosemary and garlic naan, and the saag, we also got a curry that came with cheese in it which was so good but I forgot the name.

Tried the paneer tikka and malai kofta with rotis. Paneer tikka was on point. Food was superb but ambience can be improved.

I am not usually a fan of Indian food and spicy hot in general but I had an Indian friend who is an outstanding chef who showed me how exquisite this cuisine can be. Friends urged us to accompany them for lunch at Maya and their enthusiasm for the food is warranted. We started with the wings with the sweet sauce. It was very spicy but so flavorful and fresh. I will an order again but ask for a milder version. I got to try many dishes I usually wouldn’t order and was delighted by all. Daal Maharaja with lentils and kidney beans was so delicious and fragrant with the perfectly cooked basmati rice. Tiki Masala and the Saag (green sauce) were also memorable. There was soothing Indian music playing and an altogether pleasant decor and lighting. The location for Maya unexpected and quiet but the food should soon draw crowds. We look forward to trying everything on the menu!

It was about 90 degrees inside when we showed up for our party of 8. I guess their ac was broken. They did the best they could with the 3 fans they placed around our table. It was still pretty miserable.
We asked if we could be moved to the bar area where it was about 10 degrees cooler, but they said they could only accommodate six in there. We were the only people dining in at the time.
The food was excellent and the servers were accommodating with water although it was slow. We sat for about 30 minutes baking before they took our order.
We will come back, but maybe in the fall and winter season.
The kicker is a party of 7 showed up and they were promptly seated in the bar area and had waters and service much quicker than we did.

Staff were friendly.
Ordered take out and had to wait a few extra minutes.
Overall food was good, though I do feel it was overpriced for the quality. Lamb was tough and over cooked. The vindaloo and Madras Curry was flavorful. Both were ordered hot and only had slight heat, very manageable to eat.
After arriving home it was learned part of our order was missing which also made it a waste of ordering certain items that were specific to the item.

Highly recommended. Went for lunch and had the chicken Malai Tikka with rice. The chicken was very tender and tasty. Everyone in my group had a really good meal - food is highly recommended here 🙂👍

Over the past few decades, I have eaten Malai Kofta dozens of restaurants around the world, but I’m glad to say that Maya Indian Bar and Grill has the best one. The dish was just absolutely amazing: perfectly seasoned, plenty of sauce, and five dumplings with perfect texture instead of the usual two or three. Too bad this place is 5000 miles from my home.

Excellent food. Not very spicy and feels authentic to taste. We generally order chicken 777 and chicken madras curry. Their chili cilantro naan is also excellent. Overall it’s a great place to taste Indian food in and around Wakefield.

We had Maya Indian bar and grill do the catering at our pre wedding even. Along with delicious food, the caterers went about and beyond to make our event successful. The presentation of the buffet was fantastic. The spice level was optimum as per expectations. I would highly recommend them as caterers super nice people.
