We’ve been here for long time. I’m not sure what happened to this place but I’m very sad to say that the quality has gone downhill. We ordered Chicken parm and the cutlets were thick and very tough. Cheese was terrible! Sicilian pizza was basically not edible! Dough was so tough and underneath around edges burned and hard. When I brought it home it was wet, pepperoni was not cooked and cheese let’s just not sure what is was it, just didn’t melt well. Never had a problem before. Really don’t want to post this for one of our local business but this was not good! Did they change ownership. Truly very sad.

I’ve been eating here most of my life and it’s always been a favorite. I have since moved away and stopped in for dinner while in the area. The chicken parm sandwich was just as good as I remembered, if not better. The kids had pizza which they loved and my hubby got ravioli and meatballs which were half gone before I realized he started eating. The pre meal breadsticks were warm from the oven and soft / delicious. Pedro has been there crushing it in the kitchen for 36 years and makes amazing food. He’s got an upbeat wonderful personality and it was a true pleasure to see him again. This has been and always will be one of my favorite places to get reasonably priced, delicious Italian food.

The flavor of the pizza was excellent—the sauce was rich and well-balanced, and the outer crust had a satisfying texture. Unfortunately, the dough beneath the sauce was so soggy that the toppings slid right off, making it difficult to enjoy. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, but the structural issues with the base took away from the overall experience.

Living in Wakefield for many years Morena‘s was always a local favorite. I’ve always been pretty picky about food, especially ordering Italian food and I’ve never had a bad meal there. Some of my favorites are their Sicilian pizza, potato/ peppers/onions/egg sub, and their soup.
This hidden Gem is amazing. It's worth getting off the hwy and going the extra mile for. Small inside but plenty of seating.The food is the best authentic Italian food I've had in a long time. The price for quality and portion is absolutely amazing. The canoli was smaller than some other places, so I recommend getting 2 because you will want more. 100 times better than any I've personally driven to the north end for. Employees are so friendly and nice. I have issues with heartburn and red sauce but I don't when I eat here, not sure why or what they do but I'm thrilled because I could eat their sauce with a spoon, so good. Stuffed shells & meatballs & lasagna are made with high-quality cheeses and pasta, and it shows. You won't be disappointed.

Strange that the menu does not disclose there is ham in the fettuccine Alfredo. Not a common mix-in. When I called to speak with the resturant, they simply suggested I order it with no ham next time. No refund or replacement order offered. I suggested they update their menu to reflect ingredients/meat added to pasta dishes. Especially pasta dishes that are typically vegetarian unless added on by customer. Very disappointed with small portion size as well.
