Have been here twice for dinner and happy both times with the food - both the menu and the quality. It’s a loud atmosphere - so much it was difficult to have a table conversation for most of our time. The bar is right next to the tables and the crowd noise just bounces off the ceilings.Menu selections are great - some steak, chicken and lots of fish options. Often paired with rice, pasta and a flavorful veggie. Food comes out remarkably quick and hot.Service was a little slow otherwise but I will definitely come back.

I was in the area for a business trip and stopped by Public Kitchen in Wakefield with some coworkers.The menu offerings are typical to other gastropubs from lighter foods like salads, shareable appetizers like chicken wings, or heartier items like burgers or dinner entrees. I’d compare it to a leaner YardHouse menu because they share similar Asian-fusion menu items.I ordered a burger with a fried egg, and it was satisfying - especially on a cold evening. I liked the side of pickles it came with and the fries were really good! Crispy on the outside and ‘’mashed potato-ey” inside. My kind of fries!Our server recommended the Fried Pickles with Spicy Aioli and we enjoyed this as well.The service was great and our server was attentive. I liked the chill atmosphere. And my coworkers enjoyed watching a football game while devouring their food.Overall, we left satiated and enjoyed each other’s company. The service made for a great dining experience.

Great place for dinner and a drink. The beer menu is always great and the food has been spectacular each time we've gone. The Mac and Cheese can easily feed two, or plenty for leftovers! Nashville Hot Honey sandwich was the messiest sandwich in existence, but it was delicious.

Straight forward and non pretentious food. I had the pastrami sandwich and my son had a burger that he claims was better than mine. I’ll let that slide for now but I’ll be taking the wife and daughter there soon. Also the Smoked Old Fashioned was delicious.

Ordered takeout so I can't comment on the dining experience in the restaurant.The steak gorgonzola salad is great. It had a good balance of greens and toppings. Others in the group got burgers, tacos, and flatbread. Everyone enjoyed their choices.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free foods available. Good for people with celiac or other wheat allergies.
What a bummer. I live in Wakefield and try and support local. I grab take out from here a few times a year. Decided to give tonight a try.First, the pick up situation is always an absolute nightmare. You’d think the hostess could help but you have to stand behind people sitting at the bar and ask the bartender for your food. It’s painful trying to get their attention knowing they’re so busy doing their job back there. So I waited 10 minutes until someone could help me.Then, I get home and open our food. $14 FOR 3 MOZZARELLA STICKS?? They weren’t even good! Tasted like frozen mozzarella sticks. $14!?!? Come on.The fish tacos come with pineapple salsa and I should’ve said no pineapple salsa, I just never remembered that being on them before. Truthfully I don’t think pineapple salsa should ever be on a taco but anyway. I couldn’t even pick up the tortilla, complete sog. Literally could only eat the fish inside the taco.What is going on here? I’m disappointed. Not sure if there’s a new chef or management but something is lacking. Food isn’t cheap these days, but do it right or you’ll be put out of business.

Picked this restaurant as it was half way between where I live south of Boston and my family in NH. Such a pleasant surprise. The appetizers were delicious as were our salads and sandwiches . Our server was friendly and attentive. If it weren't so far away, I would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Food is great! Nice selection on the menu. Plenty of vegetarian options. No booths, half tables, half high tops with wall side bench, aisle side stools. All that wood means it can feel a little loud, but not so much you can't carry on a conversation.Vegetarian options: Plenty of great menu options for vegetariansParking: Street parking, so peak times you may need to park a bit further away. There are some lots in the area, you will find a spot within a few minutes walk

I love this place! Super cute place with great food. I have been many times but every time I go I always grab a plate of fried pickles because they have the best free pickles in the world!! Service is always fast and friendly. No complaints!
