We were very disappointed with our last visit ? We've been coming here for many many years...but this time was so disappointing, we decided it was our last visit. We paid ALOT of money for our full-bellied clams... they were barely warm, we sent them back... there was NO taste to them, the coating was hard and had no flavor. My brother's lobster roll was ridiculously small for the large price paid. It's such a shame this landmark restaurant has literally left a bad taste in our mouths. Pun intended.

We spent 89.00 on take out for two orders. A “basket of clams with bellies” that had none meaning no belly’s and another order w scallops and clams w bellies. I called to complain and was told I had to bring them back during a concert where the highway was shut down. I will never go back. This is somewhere my family came from West Roxbury to stand in line back in the day. Completely went downhill and management did nothing to rectify my complaint.

Food was delicious, but lost my appetite when a mouse nonchalantly hung around the table behind us. I brought family here because I raved about the food once I came a few years back after seeing reviews on Phantom Gourmet. Came around 7:00 on a Saturday night and the place was empty except for a couple sitting in one of the booths. I had a party of 9 with me, most visiting from out of town. 2 other couples came in after us and finished eating before my party finished. When we saw "Stuart Little" and frantically made staff aware, they didn't seem surprised and shrugged it off. One of the couples that got up to leave, laughed it off and said that there were "Actually a few of them running around". The other couple laughed it off too and thanked us for the entertainment since they got a kick out of our response. My 86 year old Aunt almost passed out once she saw it.Now I know why the place was empty. I know that most restaurants have critters, but these little things were not phased. Oh, and prices are through the roof. Seafood platter DOUBLED in price. Went from $39 to $73??!!! I'm good.

I went there with a friend on July 14 2023. We had never been but they advertise on tv and rave about their seafood. We ordered a fisherman’s platter $72.99 and 2 cokes. It was really disappointing . They toppled it with so many fries and onion rings 1st of all, the clams were small and crumbly and not many, the scallops were cut in half, hardly any shrimp. The fish and coleslaw were ok. I guess I will be sticking to “ Belle Isle” even tho it’s a hike for us to get there from Quincy.

Seafood is fresh but the batter, while nice and light, needs more flavor. Fish chowder is amazing!

Had a wonderful meal the seafood was very good. The service was excellent and the staff seemed to really like each other and the customers. Very good food and more importantly local kind people working there.

The clam strips and the whole clams/Scallops plates were both delicious. The surprise item was the chicken pot pie egg rolls. These were delicious and came with a cranberry aioli type dip that was phenomenal.

You may pass over this gem, since the exterior is dated, and the interior is aged. However, the fried scallops, onion rings and fries are as good if not the best in the region.

This place is always consistently good! From when I was a small child till now. The food is fresh and plentiful. The servers are pleasant and efficient. You honestly can not go wrong!

The service was ok at the best. One person was the hostess and waitress for the complete dining room. Never got asked for refills. My girl friends meal came out a full 10 minutes after mine. Prices are for a 5 star restaurant in a dingy diner. Come on $20 for tiny piece of fish and chips the food is good but not that good.

I've never been. My wife and I stopped in tonight a little after 7:00. No tables were available but we're directed to the bar. Friendly and efficient staff. Owner was personable. I was impressed by the quaint atmosphere and the old time diner bar counter and flooring. Sorta nostalgic. We each ordered a pizza. We got a garlic pizza and a black olive pizza. They were cooked a perfect golden brown with a rustic colored bottom which was Wonderfully burnt along the bottom edges giving it a nice crispy crunch. We had a few Budweisers. Was hoping for draft beer but you don't offer that. All in all everything was great. We will return. Looking forward to trying the clam chowder.

We stopped in here for lunch one day. The place is huge! There is a separate bar area. Nice wait staff. Place is much bigger on the inside than it looks.

Passing through this town while on my travels and stopped here to eat. Some of the best service I’ve received in a long time. Food was also amazing. Wings were perfectly cooked and the soups were good

I hate to write a bad review for restaurants when it is hard for restaurants these days, but our experience there was less than positive and going out is an expense, so I'd prefer to read authentic reviews. First, the positives. The waitress was fantastic, attentive, personable and very patient with an elderly person in our party, although we also got the line "the clams are small today". The scallops and fish were tasty and the drink options were ok. Neutral--there was an error in the order which was fixed, but there was an additional nominal charge for the item that was ordered and forgotten, on top of the plate that included an option that was not ordered. Maybe this was a legitimate extra charge but I don't think so because it was a cheaper fish option. Oh well, it's a hard time for restaurants so no big deal. The negatives--the onion rings were bland, and the lobster roll was also poor quality and tasteless. There was maybe one chunk of flavorless lobster and the rest was mashed up like tuna salad and there was no lobster flavor, not anywhere worth the price, at all! The coleslaw was also poor. It didn't seem very fresh and also little flavor. There was an awful musty, dirty, old smell as you walked in the door and it looked old, dirty and worn. The bathroom door was visibly grimy--an easy fix--if that isn't done, what else isn't done? I wanted to like this place and it could be a quaint, charming place with excellent staff, but it really fell short for me. Maybe try it, but maybe stick with the fried fish and don't expect the best experience in atmosphere or food.
