I had not been to Janine's in about 20 years. We went last year with my son's TrailLife USA Troop for the charity car show. The food was amazing. This past weekend we went again and it was still amazing. We plan on making more trips out there next summer.

2nd visit this yr..once beginning of season...2nd last wk...both times food was good, service was much better on the 2nd visit...noticed the rest rooms were clean...outdoor dining are could use a little sprucing up...built up sprinkles and food residue sound edges of tables..it's just not the same as before new owners took over.....an average experience just like Howard's. Or the clamBox......use to be a destination ...lie visiting a chain restaurant now...good luck!!

Ordered a Chef's Salad, and got a garden salad, over stuffed with lettuce, no meat, no cheese, no eggs and about 1 tablespoon of dressing. When I informed them it was supposed to be a Chef's Salad, they rolled a slice of cheese in a slice of ham, cut it up and put it on top and returned it to me after waiting an additional 5+ minutes!!

A little slow on the serving. But the ice cream was excellent.
Classic take out ice cream, fried food, burgers. Decent value. OK service. Food is pretty good. Picnic tables under tents.

I callled in for a pickup order and they said 10 min. I showed up on time and the food wasn’t ready came out about 10 min later and I was ok with that. But all of the bread was soggy and gross on hotdogs and steak melt. And the amount of toppings they put on the hot dogs was absolutely insane as if they didn’t want us to come back. We also got clam strips that where inedible but the dog loved. I have been going here for over 15 years and never had a single complaint. But unfortunately don’t think I’ll be going back after tonight. They where dead and that’s the service we got so it don’t give me hope.

A classic soft serve ice cream place, but better than most! A huge selection of fried and grilled food and an even bigger of frozen treats.
I ended up going with the cinnamon bun soft serve. You rarely see anything other than vanilla, chocolate and maaaaybe strawberry. It totally blew me away! Delicious.
My girlfriend’s strawberry ice cream was great. It was Gifford’s so of course it was.
I’d definitely go here if you like ice cream, American food, Americana or are just passing by. It’s worth a drive!
