Absolutely amazing , made me feel like I was at home and this food just had so much love into it .. I used to go by and want to go in and I'm so glad my boyfriend brought me , very happy and the aura brings happiness and a nice touch of classiness .
Place was amazing, food was amazing and excellent service as well!!
What truly elevates Stave and Still is its exceptional staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. They create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, making you feel like a valued guest. Their passion for what they do is palpable, and it translates into a truly enjoyable dining experience.
My friends and arrived on Saturday night for 7:30pml dinner and drink reservation and although the interior of the restaurant was beautiful, it was freezing, causing the majority of us to keep our jackets on throughout the dinner. Due to the high pricing and being with a party of approximately 12 people, 3 of us asked to be put on a separate bill when we first arrived. Our server, Jenna, made a big fuss about this and told me it would “really be a pain for her to do this.” The bartender, who I later discovered was her mother, overheard this conversation, and said it was no problem. Had the restaurant been busy, I would have understood her being overwhelmed at even the simplest of requests, but we were the only people in attendance at the very large restaurant.
I was extremely excited for the meal as it was the first full meal I had eaten in over 2 weeks after a previous tonsillectomy, but to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. The bourbon steak tips were very tough and had no seasoning. When requesting a side steak sauce for flavor, they brought over what appeared to be broth, and tacked on $7 to the already outrageous bill. Due to the waitress rushing us out at the end of the meal, I quickly gave her my credit card for the 3 of us, and hesitantly left a 20% tip, because I am a decent person. Upon leaving and divvying up the $220 bill (for 4 drinks, a tater tots app, steak tips and a wedge salad, don’t forget the side sauce/broth) I realized they had already included a 22% gratuity for a party of 3, which means Jenna got a 52% tip for her less than stellar waitressing. At this point, I was infuriated at the entire experience and called to go about getting my 20% gratuity back. The phone number provided online and attached to the bill is attached to a business name “The Stave and Still” and although the restaurant opened at 5pm, has not returned any of messages or picked up any of my many calls. Although the food was not good, I refused to let the $220 meal go to waste, so I packaged up my leftovers and gave it to my dog when arriving home and he too was unable to bite through the rough steak (yes, even after attempting to moisten it up with the $7 broth). He ultimately gave up, leaving it on the floor.
The meats are top notch, the chefs is brilliant. Best value over Boston or Worcester by far. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out.
This is a tough one to write as the staff, owner, atmosphere were all top notch. The food however, not so much. Great employees, very kind and polite. We had the mac & cheese flight which was delicious. I had the short ribs that were superb but also added the garlic infused broccoli that was an extra $8. The broccoli was awful. Did not taste a hint of garlic and somehow was gritty. I had my boyfriend try it who also was disgusted. It tasted like it was rolled in sand. Steak tips are a very small portion but tasty. He added shrimp that were originally forgotten, but once they were brought over were piping hot! Had to wait awhile to cool before eating. All of the other food was room temp/slightly warm which was strange. Just didn't feel like the food was worth the price tag. Drinks are a bit pricey but you get your money's worth. The one drink I didn't care for was the Rosé. It tasted cheap and like cork if I'm being honest. Besides the food though this place was great. If it weren't so expensive I'd give it another shot.
Jills florist has recommended this restaurant in Dudley and I just want to say, the service is top notch and the food is first class. High end steaks are a must to try here. The cocktails are very different and a must try! So glad to have a amazing restaurant like this in Dudley! Craig keep up the great work!
Great concept! Mediocre food!
DEFINITELY OVERPRICE!
Stave & Still is the place to visit if you’re looking for great food and service in a relaxing environment. You will hear music at a volume that sets the mood and does not compete with your private, low level conversations. If you enjoy bourbon, this is the place where you will find a range of pappy van winkle years and three distills of Blanton’s -to mention a couple of the many to choose from. At our last visit, I had the Wagyu medallions (2) with mashed potatoes and a side of truffle sauce and my wife had the monkfish with loaded parmesan risotto. Both were outstanding and a strong recommendation. The Phantom Gourmet made a visit a while back and recommended dishes may assist with your selection (menu notation). There is plenty of off-street parking -which makes getting in the door frustration free. Good time and many return visits are forthcoming.

We happened on this place by chance searching for something other than pizza in the area. What a find! The owner, Craig, is amazing and took time to explain what the restaurant was all about and why he established it. It helped that we were there on a night that wasn’t too busy. The food was amazing. The drinks were perfect. The dessert was heaven. We live a 45 minute drive from Dudley but will go back just to eat here again and soak up the atmosphere. This restaurant belongs in a much more cosmopolitan location than where it’s located. But it’s worth seeking it out if you can. Five stars really isn’t enough.

This is an undiscovered gem. Unbelievable - the jalapeño Mac & cheese was to die for. A strip steak, perfectly seasoned and cooked. And the carrot cake, which I’ve been making for years, surpassed my wildest dreams. Don’t let this restaurant pass you by. Jenna was a comedic relief to overeating. Come and enjoy!

The food was decent but overpriced for what we got. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare but didn’t have much flavor. Service was frustratingly slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Our server was nice and checked in often to ask how everything was, but we still had to wait a long time for things like water refills and to place our orders. Overall, not worth the price. Still had a great night but they have some work to do.
Parking: Big open lot with other stores, you shouldn’t have any issues finding somewhere to park.
