We had such a wonderful experience. I had called the restaurant ahead of time to say I was coming with my parents, including my father who uses a walker. They were so incredibly thoughtful about the table they selected for us and just generally wonderful with us throughout the meal. We had a wonderful and patient server. I appreciate the consideration of all the staff and the manager who made sure we had a wonderful visit to Alta Strada.

The service wasn't good. They failed to bring our appetizers and made no attempt to make up for that other than saying, “I must have forgotten to put it in.” They tried to clear our dishes while we were still eating. We felt like they were trying to rush us out of there. The food was okay. Nothing special. Not worth a trip to Wellesley from Brookline. We won't be back.

We have dinner at Alta Strata several times a year, always connected to a trip to Elmbank. This Festival of Trees was no exception. First, our waitress was excellent and attentive and made great suggestions. We throughly enjoyed her. Food was great as usual. We had a 6:15 reservation and we seated by chance in our usual section and I felt the tables were closer than usual and by 7 pm you couldn't hear the conversation (3) above the noise in the room.
