Although part of a global chain, Caffè Nero did a nice job of capturing the distinct history of this Wellesley Hills station designed by architect H.H. Richardson. The building was completed in 1886, and after the station was decommissioned the space was various retail outlets until Nero took over in 2016.

And the food and drink? Relative to other bakeries and coffee shops in Wellesley (there are a lot!) the coffee is good, and the baked goods are workmanlike....
The only bad thing about this place is that traffic in Wellesley is so bad it feels like a victory just finding a parking spot. The actual cafe is lovely and cozy, with delicious coffee and excellent baristas.
Very nice coffee shop in downtown Wellesley. Relaxing atmosphere, love the gas fireplace! Male server was not rude but also wasn’t friendly. He was all business, even though it wasn’t busy.
