Gorgonzola crusted filet was awesome. The creamed spinach was even better. My favorite steak house. Awesome meal!!
Unfortunately, our evening was not good. It was not very busy, but our drinks took a long time to get to us. Then, we waited over half an hour for our oysters and the manager was shucking them as it looked like the chef was unable. Our meals came and they were very good, but our waiter was MIA throughout the meal, only to show up at the end, AFTER the manager brought us coconut cake.
Once again, I had a great experience with businesses colleagues at Smith & Wollensky's Wellesley! Laurie Shea did an incredible job of taking great care of us!! Laurie is the best, friendly, caring, and always provides “exceptional service”!! I highly recommend the restaurant, and look for Laurie, you won't be disappointed!!
Sat at a high top in the bar good environment, fun place to go to have a meal and a couple of cocktails! Had a fabulous waiter Mickey he was great! Not a big fan of the new tuna tartare! They should go back to their original recipe.
Best steak I've ever had. Service 10/10. Cocktails 11/10 with a unique fun dice game ive never seen before. Will absolutely come back come. Worth eveey penny.
Celebrating my husbands 68th birthday! Top notch food & service helped us enjoy our evening!
Service was amazing! Very attentive and did not rush us at all. The twin petite filets were a table favorite. We were there celebrating a graduation and our waitress brought over a delicious chocolate cake slice for dessert on the house! Would definitely recommend going to celebrate any occasion!
I have been going here for years but last night will be the last. To charge $22 for a Moscow mule is just the start of the out of control prices they are charging for good but not excellent food. What use to cost $300 cost me $600 last night. Although I would like to continue to support this restaurant they are out of touch with reality. There are other steak houses that have opened in Wellesley that have better service, consistent quality and a better environment for 1/2 the price. It's unfortunate but s&w is out of touch with reality!
Overall experience was very good, food and service were excellent but the prices were too high!
Unfortunately, we waited over an hour and a half for our food to come out and once our two of the dishes were disappointing.

We frequent S & W steakhouses in various parts of the country. Candidly this was a disappointing experience. We routinely bring wine and are charged a corkage fee which we're happy to pay. Additionally, we always take a wine that is not an available on their list. On this occasion, wine in hand I was told their specific restaurant policy was different and they would not decant our wine. Always a great way to start the evening. Next I ordered a 2017 Bertani Amarone from their list and was brought a 2019. Need I say more. Service was inconsistent at best as our waiter disappeared for large periods of time forcing us to flag other staff to meet our needs. In our party of four, two steaks were incorrectly cooked, one overcooked and one undercooked. The undercooked steak was refired while the rest of our party ate. No sincere apology, no visit by a manager, nothing. For $800+, or $200 per person many other choices in the Framingham/Wellesley area. Suffice to say I will not be back and advise diners to seek an alternate choice.
AMAZING! Worth every penny and treated like royalty. Thank you to our server Ilia. He was awesome. Can't wait to go back!
My family of four came in for a 6pm dinner reservation on Mothers Day. We are regular diners and have had bad service before but this was truly terrible. As a former waitress, I generally try to avoid complaints because I know there are lots of dynamics that can impact service. But for the prices you charge, the service we experienced was unacceptable. - We waited for 25 minutes before anyone acknowledged our table and brought water. And it was the host. - We waited another 15 minutes for drinks - After being there nearly 40 minutes we saw our waitress for the first time. - we placed our order and waited for water refills. - my 10 year old spilled his soda and at least 6 waiters and bus boys walked by us as we scrambled to clean up and did not even offer to help. - we finally got our waitress attention and asked for more napkins and a new soda. She left the dirty napkins on the table and didn't bring new ones till we asked several more times - she used the same soda glass for the refill despite that it was filled with crumbs and paper straw wrappers - my husband and I ordered salmon which was supposed to come with morel mushrooms- the reason I ordered it. There were no mushrooms. When I asked the waitress she said they must have changed the preparation. The salmon was mediocre at best - my son's steak was rare not medium rare but no one came by to check on us till the end of the meal - i mentioned the morels and bad service to the host or manager and the missing morels. He shrugged his shoulders without apology
Very disappointed with the table we seated in in a back room with lots of children We booked the reservation three weeks ago. We expected an intimate dinner and it was very loud.
Outstanding food & service as usual. Been here many times and it remains my go-to place for business meetings or casual gatherings.
