Food tasted good and the staff was working hard. Quite expensive for basic food but filled the nostalgia gap. $50 for two omelets and coffee. Waited a while to be seated because the restaurant is under staffed.
We were pleasantly surprised to find Helen's Diner open during our last visit. We've always enjoyed the great food & service in a fun 1950's decor setting. Clean and friendly place for breakfast though we were sad to learn this will be their last season since planned renovations to the Tidewater Inn include changing the diner into a restaurant with a bar.
We stayed one night in West Yarmouth. We found Helen's on the google map and decided to try it out for breakfast. It's located behind the Tidewater Inn. All retro 50's signs and a pretty decor. We were very pleased with the food and the service. I was surprised more people weren't there, but we are early birds! After breakfast we walked near the water and viewed the wildlife. It was so peaceful.
