“We just drove eight hours to come for lunch. We were here last year and really enjoyed the food. I had the fish tacos and my husband had chicken,rice, and musrooms with cream sauce. We were too hungry to take a picture. It’s well worth trying this special restaurant.“

“We were pleasantly surprised to find Helen's Diner open during our last visit. We've always enjoyed the great food & service in a fun 1950's decor setting. Clean and friendly place for breakfast though we were sad to learn this will be their last season since planned renovations to the Tidewater Inn include changing the diner into a restaurant with a bar.“

“Delicious, hearty chicken pot pie with a surprising little side of orange cranberry sauce that really set it off. The Reuben was a bit in the small side, though the corned beef tasted fantastic.

“The wait time is unbelievably fast . Stopped for breakfast to almost a full house and we met with our waitress, Sophia in record time. But thats not all. our breakfasts which i will say was probably the best we have had was delivered in record breaking time. we actually thought she was delivering to our table by mistake. “We love OYI! We are a family of eight. All of our meals were perfectly prepared, and so delicious! The staff is so attentive. The owner and staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The fish, pasta and beef dishes were all scrumptious, as were the delicious blue cheese dirty martinis. OYI is the perfect place to go for a family get together, or for a romantic evening.“

“Was in search of a snack on some draft brews and this place fit the bill. Nice election if beers on tap, parked at the bar so they had a couple of games playing in the TVs. Ordered the calamari and it was tasty, the marinara sauce was bomb! But I ran out of marinara sauce and could have used some more.

Beer wise I ordered the shipyard pumpkin and they asked if I wanted it with the spice rim and I figured tis the season and it definitely felt like drinking fall in a cup. Would come back if I’m ever in the area again“
