It is a great place for any occasion but we always eat here for special parties too. The prices are extremely fair but the food is always great. If New England mountains had a flagship restaurant this would probably be it. Just off scenic RT 2a. Delicious American cuisine. The hush puppies are so yummy! Take time to walk the grounds. Enjoy waterfalls, historic exterior, and of course the ducks and geese.

I did not think that the food reached the standard they expressed on their menu. My duck dinner , the duck was a bit dry, the chicken on the Cobb salad was dry and clam chowder a little thin for my liking. The burternut squash was more like butternut sugar. Their sweet rolls and and fritters were great. My husband said the chicken vegetable pie was great.
