Expensive Taste

My fav place for a cheeseburger

I love the raspberry ice cream! It’s my favorite on a warm sunny day. But the food is okay ; overpriced. Workers are kind, and the picnic tables in the back are my favorite to sit at when it’s hot since you get some shade.

Mediocre watery very overpriced fast melting soft ice cream ($6 for a kiddie cone and it goes up from there) plus burgers, clams ($28 for a clam plate!), etc. this place has been a summer tradition for decades, and I have fond memories from 40 years ago. Now, they’re milking the nostalgia and ripping off the gullible. Plus, the service is slow (there were two couples ahead of us, and we waited 20 minutes). Recommendation: have a good, and cheaper, meal in Waltham. Then come here if you must for desert, but there are better and cheaper ice cream places in Waltham, Newton, etc. Better yet, take your $6 to the grocery store and buy a half gallon of really good ice cream for the whole family.

Absolute classic summer spot for the area -- been coming here for ages, and it's always great! The ice cream selection (all soft serve) is particularly excellent, and they've got fish as well as burgers, chicken tenders, and more. FYI: outdoor seating and cash only (ATM on-site), and lines are long on nice weekend days. It's a popular family venue so feel free to bring little ones.

Parking: Parking is pretty ample, but at mealtimes on a beautiful summer weekend day it can be hard to find a spot. I don't think I've ever actually failed to find one though -- may just need to park on the edges of the lot under the trees.

Ice Cream snd sherbet cones were great. Hamburgers huge and good. French Fries had an unfortunate bitter after taste, either it’s the type of oil they use or coating the fries come with from the manufacturer. Couldn’t definitively say which. Took one star off the food for the bitter fries star for how expensive the place was. 55$ for two burgers and fries, one small and one kiddie cone.

Great to hang out with friends & family in a woodsy, quiet spot. Minutes from great nature walks. Cherish places like this as Marxist democrats try to erase our American culture.Best soft serve!

Went to Dairy Joy because it’s been around for many years and brings back memories . The ice cream sounds was average and onion rings were pretty good but pretty expensive for $20! Memory was good though !
