Let me start by saying we have always loved Dumpling Daughter and have been coming here for a few years as a treat since we live an hour away. This time however on 12/12/25, we were disappointed in the quality of the bao buns. The BBQ pork ones were normal, but the minced beef and onion were tiny and chewy, flavor wasn't good, not at all what they should be. We ended up throwing the beef and minced onion away. And whoever packed them knew the quality was wrong as they packed double the amount that normally comes in it. Not sure if we will take the drive again not knowing if we will get what we love or if we will get the poor quality we got this last time.
12/30/25 Update: The restaurant did offer to refund the cost of the subpar dumplings which is awesome, I emailed them back within a few days of their offer on 12/21/25, still have not heard back but understandable given the holiday. Hopefully I will hear from them soon!
1/17/26 Update: We are now well into the new year and I still have not heard back about the refund... Not sure why they offered to refund and then failed to respond or assist. At this point I figure I won't be seeing the refund, disappointed in the customer service.

regarding the Ginger soy sauce, when ordered via Amazon.
both bottles the seals were broken and it was foaming. One was leaked out all over the box. The previous order of two, one was ok but when I got around to using the second one the seal was broken and foaming. Can't be returned. 20 bucks down the drain.

No Dine In while mentioned that they do have a dine in. It was so disappointing to arrive to a restaurant ( in a cold winter winter day) and see that they keep their dining area closed . 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Food was ok, the guy taking our order was some of the worst staff to have. Ask what’s in their veg dumpling, doesn’t know, doesn’t want to find out. The you either order or leave type of attitude. Just all around speaking Chinese with his staff.
Food and service were awesome. We have very happy bellies. Atmosphere is what you can expect with counter service with table delivery. Our daughter graduated from a nearby college and we were happy to have a reason to come back and visit.

The veggies dumplings were the worst thing I've eaten in a long time. The pork and leek dumplings were better, but only in comparison to the veggie dumplings.

Overall pretty good for the price. Buns were excellent, but a little disappointed in the dumplings. Nothing really special but also definitely not bad

Went there for dinner, bill was $148.81 with tax. Food was pretty decent. After going thru my credit card statement a week later I noticed that I was charged 177.81. They so graciously gave themselves a 20% tip on my card. I left a cash tip on the table because I didnt know they stole their own tip already, as he told me my total was 148.81. Not for nothing, they added a tip for what?? You go up to a counter, order your food and go sit down and you clear your own table. There is no waitress or server. Imagine if McDonald's added 20% tip to your order? It's literally the exact same service.
I've called 3 days this week to speak to a manager and there is never one there. I asked when she will be in and they also said they don't know. Cool thanks. maybe this will get your attention.
