We dined here for our anniversary. This restaurant has the ability to cater to those celebrating special occasions, as well as the locals enjoying a casual mid-week dinner. We very much enjoyed the ambiance. We started with a couple glasses of wine and a 1/2 dozen Duxbury oysters. We asked the waiter if they were Island Creek, and he said “no, they are Duxbury oysters.” We didn’t push him on his local oyster knowledge ;) But they were especially delicious with the watermelon...
This place has always had delicious, high quality home style Italian food. The gnocchi with braised beef is fantastic. The lamb is also great when they have it. I am not a fan of the salmon.

Chiara's food is good, as is the ambience. I went last night and had the duck breast which was cooked perfectly, but the kitchen seemed to have a problem with timing. When the food came out, my companion's salmon was very well cooked and hot. My duck was barely warm. Obviously, they had to hold my dish until the salmon was done.
