Fratelli's Pastry Shop (Weymouth)

Was eager to try Fratelli's in Weymouth after hearing so many good reviews, but found that the pastries left much to be desired. Monkey bar was dry, crumbly. Could've used some sweetened condensed milk to fix that, but I know that's not everyone's jam. Red velvet cupcake was moist, but the frosting tasted like store-bought Pillsbury cream cheese and was WAY too sweet for my liking for a red velvet frosting. Definitely could've used 80% less sugar, and 20% more cream cheese in the frosting. Lemon drop cupcake filling seemed like a sugar-y fake flavored lemon gel, when I was expecting something more like lemon curd. Cupcake itself was completely stale. Cream puff pastry was surprisingly dense, as well as the filling. Solid cannoli shell, filling seemed surprisingly dense for a cannoli but might have been due to product being kept refrigerated. Overall, flavors are meh, quality of pastries is less than average and I was thoroughly disappointed, as I had high hopes for Fratelli's in Weymouth. But I was impressed with their affordability & extremely secure packaging of their pastries. They definitely have plenty of room for improvement and areas of opportunity if they want to up the flavor and overall quality of their pastries.

Do not place any orders online and then expect to get any kind of decent customer service. I’ve been a customer several times and I always thought their pastries were great but I would never go back here again after the horribly way that Lindsey treated me today and all I wanted was a simple substitution so if you want substitution and you’re ordering online, they’re gonna make you place a whole entire order and end up paying double for it!!!

Ordered a birthday cake for my son. It was so moist and delicious! The decoration came out so adorable. Good price for a custom big cake too! Everyone was very friendly and good to work with.

I picked up a blueberry loaf bread last weekend to bring to work. it was all mushy. first time i've had something bad from there. very disappointed.

As soon as I walked in today one worker started giving me dirty looks and was huffing and puffing for no reason. The girl putting the pastries in the box was side eyeing me and being weird, so I asked her if she was ok, and then she was like “yeah im ok im just trying to figure this out” and after I confronted her about it her coworker started blinking her eyes rudely at me. However, when I confronted them they started to get their act together. Would not recommend if you want to be treated poorly for walking in. Do better

Update: My mom’s birthday cake was beautiful! Everyone couldn’t stop admiring it. Chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream. Delicious. Thank you again Fratellis!

Fratelli’s saved the day by taking my custom cake order with only a couple days notice after a very negative experience at another bakery. I was unaware that Fratelli’s decorated custom cakes or they would have been my first option- I’m there pretty often for coffee and baked goods. The person who took my order told me they’d check with the decorator about my chess board design request with fondant and called me back within 30 minutes with the decorators confirmation and a quote (a completely reasonable price by the way)
I picked up the cake and asked for the Happy Birthday ribbon on the spot by the same girl who took my order over the phone. She was super helpful and I appreciated all of her help.

(I purchased the candles & chess piece cake toppers elsewhere) The cake was beautiful and my dad absolutely loved the perfect fondant chess board! The cake itself was a two layered 9-inch chocolate cake with ganache in-between the layers. Everyone LOVED it! It was so, so good.

Thank you so much Fratelli’s for your professionalism & flexibility. You will forever by my go-to and everyone will know where I get my awesome cakes from!

The most amazing pastries and not insanely expensive. Oh man, I'm in trouble. This place is way too close ugh. Ok load me up I can take it. Delicious. Try a chocolate dipped lobster tail. Never had one before and good Lord thank goodness I waited because whoa delish

Super friendly, huge selection, and very accommodating. I ordered a ricotta pie for the next morning with no issue and it was fresh and delicious.

This is usually my go to place for cakes and cupcakes. I’ve been a customer for years but I was left pretty disappointed after we bought the regular cupcakes we get on occasion and we kept finding hair all over the frosting. Makes me a bit concerned about the cleaning standards. These pictures were after we pulled 2 pieces of hair already from the frosting. Pretty sad about this one. They’ve always been pretty good.
