Been here twice. Great food. The bar service is fast and friendly. They ask your first name and remember it. The evening vibe is different than the lunch (breakfast?) vibe....but who is complaining about the hours of operation, not me! Kono's slogan is "Five Star Dive Bar". I agree!
Came here on a Sunday night for a beer and dinner. Got two bar pies which were incredible. Definitely some of the best in the area.Unfortunately, service was awful. We sat at a table near the bar, which was apparently supposed to be covered by the bartender, but she never came to take our order or bring our check. I kept having to go up to the bar.Also, I ordered a Fiddlehead IPA, one of my favorites/regulars, and maybe that's my mistake for ordering that at a dive bar, but...
4 of us went for dinner and drinks . It wasn't disappointing. The food was excellent as always, and the service was great, considering the place was very busy.It wasn't my first time there, and it won't be my last.I hope you'll give it a try
