The recently renovated McSwiggan's is a classic pub with classic pub food. Service was quick and attentive. The food was plentiful and tasty. Cocktails were generous and not overpriced. What's not to like? We'll definitely be back!

I visited the newly reopened Mc swiggans on Saturday evening, it was my first time there and I was not disappointed! it was spotless clean, nicely decorated with a lovely gas fire, plenty of space between tables, and excellent staff. There was 6 in our party, but we had 7 entrée ( one to go) we also had appetizers to share, a large salad, several beers and cocktails, plus coffees and even a pint of milk, and our total bill was less that $400. which I consider very good value for 6 adults! 4 of the 6 had chicken curry, then there was a steak tips dinner, and I think a Shepard's pie, everyone enjoyed their food. very good service, and overall a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. I will definitely go again!

First visit to McSwiggans after the recent 2022 re-opening. We sat outside, but the bar looked to be inviting and just crowded enough. Great service! We started with the fried mushrooms (which were recommended on another site) and they were tasty. Entrees were a fish and chips,(great fish, prepared well) and a steak tip salad (which was said to be terrific). Really enjoyed the outdoor area, and our server did everything to ensure we had a great visit. Well done to the new team, we're looking forward to our next visit!

The restaurant is newly renovated, tastefully done with a dark grey trim and multiple TV's around the bar. The pints were perfect. a person was eating a burger next to me, that looked perfect. Looking forward to going back for food.

Was so excited that this place opened UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. Previous owners/staff? Nothing to write home about. The hostess and server were very pleasant and attentive. I think the cook/chef is where there's an issue. I grew up in an Irish American home where my mother overcooked everything. Even then, there was a taste to the food. I've never had Covid but, our food had no taste whatsoever. For the prices they're charging - there should be some. Not very busy and food could've been warmer. One more try before it is added to the 'never again' list as it was before.

Was looking for a decent restaurant on the south shore, relatively close to Route 3. We decided on McSwiggan's since it was close enough, appeared to have a decent atmosphere and a pretty widely varied menu. Other restaurants were either too far in, or too fancy (Precinct 10 in that plaza appeared to be like a fancy function facility). Anyway, McSwiggan's delivered on all of our preferences and hopes, with one exception. So, it's not a huge deal, but parking is super limited in the rear of the building. You could possibly maybe park at the tire place next door (when they are closed), but otherwise you are sort of our of luck since parking on Route 18 is not allowed. Service was friendly, but could have been more prompt. They did seem busy when we were there; but no busy enough to take over fifteen minutes to get drinks or a check. Food was better than anticipated, the cheeseburgers were delicious. Our family all loves burgers, and three of us were all very pleased with our cheeseburgers. Seating was decent, and the layout of the restaurant was definitely ideal. Bar on one side, seating on the other side (I'm not a fan of having the bar and nonsense in the center of any restaurant and the seating surrounding that.... keep them separate). Overall, everyone had a good experience and we all agreed that we would come back here if we were in the area again. 4 stars.

This is a cool, dark, Irish bar - and I love cool, dark, Irish bars. They have a great special on Wednesdays - a draft beer and a burger from their menu for $9.95. Most of their drafts are included but Guinness and Magner's are not. The burgers are good too. I had great friendly service sitting at the bar. They have Keno and trivia night on Wednesdays too. Seating is available at the bar and they have a decent sized section of tables. They also have that machine that puts a character in the top of your Guinness which is pretty cool.

This is my 2nd visit and I was not disappointed. The chicken curry was delicious although the rice was not jasmine it was still good. The fries i thought unnecesary but I guess people like that kind of thing.

came here with my boyfriend back in the summer after not being able to make up my mind about what i wanted to eat of all the very little options in weymouth, from the outside you dont expect much but once you get in its a big suprise, the atmosphere was great we sat outside it was very nice calm and chill, we had originally sat at the bars litte to loud so we got a table outside, waitress was great and the food was amazing, the curry fries shepards pie and fish and chip plate was all amazing, had to tell all my co workers about this hidden gem in weymouth ...will for sure be back probably even this sunday!
