Got a couple of desserts and a loaf of the scali bread. Everything was amazing as usual. The tiramisu and the strawberry shortcake were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend..

I ordered 3 cakes for my son's first birthday. The first one for his smash photos (about a week before his bday party) was completely wrong. It was supposed to be all white and they gave me a naked cake. The 2 other custom ordered cakes (total of $405) were for my son's first birthday with 50 people. I went to pick up the cakes about 4 hours before the party starts and they said they weren't there. Come to find out they wrote down the wrong date. This was after double checking everything after the first cake was wrong. Naturally I broke down sobbing when I found out I had no cake for my son's first birthday I spent months planning. The girl working had no solution but to give me a refund and to choose a cake from the case since there's no decorators in. The entire ordering process with them was such a cluster. I was helped my multiple people and no one got anything right. I ended up leaving the store and going to fratellis. While I was doing that my husband who was at home with our baby called Montilios to try and get a better solution. After about an hour of back and forth phone calls they said they would call in a decorator to Brockton and we could get a cake made but it wouldn't be ready until the time our party started and they wouldn't compensate the cake for all the issues. We declined since at this point we already had fratellis fixing the situation.
My entire family has been ordering montilios for years and all of us agree it has gone such downhill. I am so thankful that Fratellis down the street was able to save the day and decorate a cake and a smash cake with only 2 hours notice and at 1/3 of a cost. My entire family loved the cakes there and can't wait to continue getting everything from there in the future!

I always love montillios.
My mom's favorite cake is Italian rum cake and I can buy it by the slice here, since an entire cake is expensive and not everyone likes it. I bought two slices to surprise her with for her party. But she bought her self a slice too, since she knew they sold it by the slice! We've been going here for decades, starting in the 80s or 90s in Quincy

Absolutely, the last time I will go there. One slice of cheesecake , one lemon square, two large M&M cookies equals $18.39 ! Absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I go is because my dad, who is 87 likes the cheesecake. no more. And that's with the cash discount . Owners should be ashamed of themselves. I've been going this since the husband and wife owned it and he sadly passed away several years ago.
The customer service here is terrible! Employees act aggravated if customers inquire about the prices/food. I will avoid this place as I do not want to be confronted with anymore rude behavior.

This place don’t deserve any stars is the worst place you can order. Customer service is horrible. The lady there that’s supposed to be the supervisor is so rude the second time I went there and I ask very friendly and she can help me to order a cake for next day, she said nope you need an advance of a three days .It is so Said how this people can management the store. And I hope the other people don’t go there to buy
I’m very disheartened with the customer service here. The cashiers are extremely brash and seem annoyed when customers ask questions. The overall lack of community engagement is disappointing, as other businesses in Columbian Square care about contributing to the neighborhood in a positive way.

I wish I could give 0 stars… worst business I have ever been to, there was mold on the cake slice I purchased and they charged me full price, $7 for a moldy slice of cake… YUM! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to have food poisoning. I had gotten a slice of pizza here last week and it had very clearly not been fresh, The cheese had a greenish color to it and there was a funky smell. Also it was stone cold and looked like yesterdays leftovers. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog, asked for my money back and they said we can’t do that. Cashiers were decent, that’s the only “good” thing about it. Decided to just take the $4 loss and throw the slice of pizza out. Decided to give it another try today thought maybe the pastries would be better. nope. Almost half of the pastries looked old and there was definitely clearly mold on at least 10 items. Honestly I can’t believe this place is allowed to be open if this is how they operate. This location brings shame to the other locations. There should be a Hazard sign on the door with “Enter at your own risk” This is more like a haunted house than a bakery with all the horrendous handling of food.

The staff they don’t even greet you as you come in super quiet. I want to leave as soon as possible and on top of that I Was super excited to try this place for the first time I felt like I was getting ripped off I only bought four slices of the cake and paid $27 plus I think it’s way too much to charge a small slice of cake for 7$ plus dollars each never going back never even got my receipt

Montillio's is my go-to bakery for every holiday, and even when you just have to have something from there. Every item made is unbelievably delicious, and the Hawaiian Eye is a must try; it's the best!

The pastries are definitly not fresh. The lady at the counter is greedy, offish, and sneaky.
We tried birthday cakes (range 30$ - 60$) from multiple places in southshore over last few years. But never disappointed as much as with Monitlio's.Birthday cake we ordered isn't terrible, but thats the only best part. I would rate the 15$-20$ cake from warehouse stores to be better than the on we got for 40$ here.
