We only get takeout, so I'm not going to comment on the atmosphere but I have always had a pleasant over the phone order. The food has always been ON POINT. My family & I get food here often. Get the Chocolate Lava Cake. You will not regret it. I consider it "Self-Care", lol!!

Ate during the Newport boat show. Ordered clam chowder and the kale & radicchio salad which was outstanding!! Also ordered the special which was a lobster BLT. It was also excellent in flavor. However the lobster was shredded (like a crab cake). Esthetically I think it would have looked better if there was a small piece of lobster in the sandwich. The server and atmosphere were great and the restaurant was well staffed. Highly recommend!

Came into town for a long weekend. Drove by this place a couple times and decided to catch a late dinner. The place was full and the bar was seated around. It still did not feel overly crowded. We were able to sit outside in their very simple back patio. Our server came out immediately and took a drink order gave us the rundown on local favs and left menus. We ordered a small pizza as an app which worked out great. The bruschetta pizza was very well done. The fresh mozz and the balsamic reduction gave it a great balance. Our server was super attentive with drink refills and got the dinner order taken in perfect time for the app delivery. Dinner came out quickly and left nothing to be desired. Fries were hot and crispy my burger was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. All parties were thrilled with their selection. If you’re in the area and looking for a nice local place with a clean take on American bar fare I recommend checking out the mooring.

Parking: There is about 15 spot available. The parking lot is tight but laid out well.

Always come to Newport with my friends and we never tried this place but it looked fire! We sat outside by the dock, enjoyed the fire raw bar with a bottle of wine, got entrees & dessert drinks, and even modeled for their menu! Great experience, great service, great views. Will def be back ! :)

Nice pub in the south shore right off the Foreriver bridge. The prices are affordable and the food is delicious. Service is great considering that during the day there was only 1 server. Definitely recommend this area for a nice drink and quick bite to eat
