Reservations for 5:30pm, arrived at 5:20pm Friday evening. 2/13/26.
Seated promptly, our server arrived, Nicolle and introduced herself. Very friendly and informative about menu etc. Our drinks served promptly, gave Nicolle our order, she informed us about what came with our order. Food arrived hot and very delicious.
We could not have been happier with service and atmosphere.
We will return.

Delicious as always. Had the beef wellington with duck mousse, and my wife had lobster casserole. Bothe had our favorite - au gratin potatos. Such a wonderful restaurant.

First, I would like to say that the Whately Inn is still my favorite restaurant. The meals have always been fantastic. From the fresh fruit cocktail and rolls, all the way to the delicious chocolate fudge pie and coffee you can't beat the Whately Inn. That being said, yesterday my girlfriend and I visited for Valentines day. We both ordered the Prime Rib. My Prime Rib had a large bone type of structure in it that significantly reduced the amount of meat in the meal. It is the first time that I have been disappointed in my entree. I will consider this a one off and continue to go to the Whately Inn on occasion.

Had dinner with great friends. Been there a few times. Food is great. Very generous portions. We always split the bill down the middle between us. When my statement came in the mail I seen that my credit card was charged for both couples. I only signed one and the other couple signed the other which would not make it legal to charge me. Called and owner said he is sorry but he had 21000$ of credit card charges that day and it’s hard to keep track of. And if my card was charged twice it would have to of had an override. Obviously it was! He can’t take a hit for 118 ( apparently I should) dollars but if my friends were good enough friends they would give me my money back! Wow not very professional at all! I’ll let my credit card get it back thank you!!! Sorry not sure we will come back. Not the way I would have handled that. So very disappointed from such an establishment that is well known!! Check your credit card statements people. Who knows how many times this had happened!!!

My mom and I visited the restaurant Sunday afternoon to celebrate her birthday. We both ordered the special Lobster Crusted Haddock, having been tempted by it on social media. It was cooked to perfection and our mouths watered when the large plates of food were placed before us! All of the sides were great too, including the tasty desserts. Considering how much food was included, the meal was an excellent value for the money. Our server Noelle was super attentive, polite, and very helpful with the food and wine questions we had. She is an amazing asset to this business and the whole team went above and beyond. We look forward to our next visit!

I went here this past weekend with my boyfriend. The food was absolutely terrible. Lobster bisque tasted like red peppers, salad was mushy, the filet mignon was over cooked and raw in the middle, prime rib also not great, scallops wrapped in bacon terrible! The only good food we got there was thw bread they give you and the butternut squash. Hallway to the bathroom reaked of dirty urine that has not been cleaned in a very long time. Service was ok. I do not recommend.

Without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in the valley to go for special occasions. Beautiful historic atmosphere with dark wooden beams and fireplace. The service is amazing. We had 2 girls waiting on our table of 16. Skyler went through and took drink orders without even writing them down and all were correct. The prices seem expensive at first glance but when you consider you are getting five courses, it really isn't bad. And if you can't afford it or can't eat that much you can create a meal from the appetizers and sides. There are also vegetarian and gluten free options. The food is always amazing, good quality and cooked to perfection. There are a lot of shellfish options (unfortunately, I am allergic) so I always get the fresh fruit appetizer with raspberry sherbet which is delicious but I wish that there were a few more nonshellfish options to choose from. Main course options included, shellfish (lobster, shrimp scampi, scallops) haddock, steaks, roast duckling with red currant jelly , rack of lamb, chicken or veal parmesan, prime rib and Frog’s Legs, Provençal, to name a few. Most days they are open 4-9 but they open Sunday at 1. Enjoy a leisurely 3 hours to go through all of the courses without being rushed out to seat other patrons.

Went there for the first time in over a decade for our anniversary. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! Our waitress, Carrie, was kind, knowledgeable and patient. We have had a handful of truly memorable meals around the globe but this ranks up with the top ten, anywhere!
Thank you for a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable evening!

There is not many places that are consistent in service, top notch food and ambiance. This is a true Gem and one of our true favorites.

Went to the restaurant for our wedding anniversary, food was delicious, service was excellent. This is fine dining! Wonderful meal! I did not stay at the hotel.

Great food and such!

Delicious food and a good value considering the amount of food that you get for purchasing one entree.

I There for a wedding party what a disaster. Had to go down to the bar to get drinks because the one server couldn't keep up poor kid. Then the party was completely shut off at the bar after about 90 mins. Food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't recommend to anyone

The food here is so unbelievably dated and disgusting that I truly cannot understand why they are in business and how anyone can enjoy their restaurant. The filet mignon was grossly oversized and biting into the massive slab of medium rare meat made me nauseous. The potatoes au gratin were overcooked into a gritty paste. The side salad was cheap, ice cold and wilted. And all of the other complimentary sides came out of some 1950s housewife cookbook nightmare. They might as well serve jello encased ham. The desserts were also cheap and tasted store bought. Honestly felt like robbery to pay.

We held our class reunion at Whately Inn and the service was superb! Every aspect of the evening was above expectations.
Thank you.
