We held our class reunion at Whately Inn and the service was superb! Every aspect of the evening was above expectations.
Thank you.

Been there twice so far once for dinner once for lunch. Dinner was delicious, the service was spot on, which is why we stopped by for lunch. We had dinner in the dining room but ate lunch at the bar. Again delicious again the service absolutely great. We live many miles from the location still throwing it 5 stars, I like the drive, wish it was closer.
We will certainly be returning with friends.

We had a birthday dinner for my wife at the Whately Inn and it was delightful. Our server was Tatiana and she was friendly, very efficient, yet also very sensitive to the pace at which we enjoy dining. The food itself was excellent and more than abundant.Lovely ambiance. Altogether a terrific experience.

Dinner for our anniversary. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Good was outstanding. Don't let prices fool you. It is worth every penny!

Always excellent! The lobster crusted haddock was well worth the 90 minute drive .

An excellent old inn located in Whately with spectacular views, a fire pit outside, in and outside seating, and a full bar. It has deep roots in the local history. The decor reflects this well with the tin ceilings and old booths, while being very uncomfortable but also very historic, still in use. The photos on display show the age and changes to this inn.
The Whately Inn serves a fresh vegetable dish to start, and dinner includes an appetizer, fresh salad, bread, potato choices, entree, and a vegetable to share, as well as dessert. The amount of food served is staggering, and I have yet to meet a dining partner up to the challenge of finishing the meal they offer. I was quite full before my entree even arrived.
The fresh vegetables are local and wonderful. The drinks pricy and the servings are generous. Our pate appetizer was delicious but did not include enough crackers for the amount of pate. The garlic bread was divine. My entree of baked stuffed shrimp was amazing, and so were the lamb chops. The service was scarce after our entree arrived. Dessert was packaged to go as we had to wait a good deal of time before our server appeared to serve it, and we were more than ready to go.
If you like local history, you should check it out.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the au gratin potatoes were outstanding! We like that the appetizer and dessert are included in the meal price 😋
Oh, and the staff is professional and attentive.

I had dinner here with my family; Kaleb did an excellent job. I say that not for 15 mins of fame in the comments section but bc after spending a life in restaurants it is uncommon to have such a great experience with the food being very good, and service being so conscientious. Thank you, Kaleb. You and the team made a memorable trip better.

Father's day lunch was mediocre at best... The staff however, were very friendlyand hard working but the food was bland and looked like schlop on a plate.... no flavor and the deserts came out a freezer.... I think they meant 0.5 stars in stead on 5 star dining

After working there for 2 years I can say the business and everyone in it is incredible. They really do think and cater to every detail. I learned so much working there, not only about the job, but about myself. I grew there. The staff is wonderful. The customers were kind and generous most of the time. I ended up with a second family there, and a big on at that. Chip and Lisa have huge hearts and they truly care for each of their employees. I recommend the Inn as a place to work at if you have a good work ethic and want to learn and work with some great people. It’s a fast paced job that’ll keep you busy, that was one of my favorite parts. I enjoyed the hustle and bustle especially on the busy Saturdays or on holidays. As far as the food goes, it’s drool worthy. I never once had a bad meal, ever. The filet mignon is impeccable, so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. Their signature au gratin potatoes are delicious. And desert always get the brownie ala mode, it’s huge and the brownies are made fresh in house every week! The tomato soup was my favorite along with their clam chowder. And as a person that doesn’t like seafood, their lobster bisque is so so good! Everything is made fresh. You can have any dish made to your liking. All meals are prepped in house daily. Nothing is reheated or ‘old’. Salads made fresh every day too. Dressings are home made style made in house. Same with sauces. Honestly, it’s all fresh, all prepped in house, all cooked to perfection, and they cater to health/allergy needs too. They even have vegetarian dishes! And a kids meal list too. Drinks are so so good too and they have such a huge list, and can even make some that aren’t on the list! Lots of non alcoholic options too! As I said, they cater to every single detail. All in all, I loved working there and truly appreciate the love I felt there. The staff, owners and everyone in between are incredible.
From ‘The girl with the pens’ I sign off and now get to move to SC. To everyone, go ‘Eat greatly at The Whately!’ You won’t be disappointed!

The $50 steak was tough and impossible to eat. Then we were humiliated by the head waiter. We will never go there again and will never recommend it to anyone. You spoiled our anniversary dinner. Thanks for nothing.
