The $50 steak was tough and impossible to eat. Then we were humiliated by the head waiter. We will never go there again and will never recommend it to anyone. You spoiled our anniversary dinner. Thanks for nothing.

Lovely place, mediocre food and service. Sole Bonne Femme was barely warm. If there was crabmeat in the stuffing it was well hidden. Potatoes Au Gratin LOOKED delicious, but again, were barely warm. Same with the Lobester Bisque.

I had an incredible gluten-free filet mignon for my 60th birthday, and it was incredible. Unfortunately, I failed to take pictures. You will have to trust me on this one.

Went there for a romantic birthday dinner.
Had never been before. Was very happy with every aspect of our dinner.

Food & drinks: Some of the best clam chowder I've ever had! The Coquille St. Jacques was a first for me and definitely did not disappoint!! Will definitely be back!

The Whately Inn has always been one of my favorite restaurants, although I was very disappointed with the service recently. My husband was in the area doing some errands and his plan when done was to call the restaurant and order a certain dish to bring home and surprise me. Unfortunately when he did, they insisted that he use a credit card to order and would not accept cash when picking up the order. Not everyone carries credit cards and still prefer to use cash as payment. I'm not sure what the reasoning was behind this? But just a heads up for anyone calling up to order. And although I will probably still go out to eat there in the future.... I must say that I was disappointed with this part of the service and my husband was upset that he couldn't surprise me.

The phrase “Eat Greatly at the Whately” is so true. I have been coming here for over 40 years and I can honestly say it is my favorite restaurant in the Pioneer Valley. The food is superior, the staff is phenomenal and the Kloc Family has kept the feeling of elegance and home for decades.Food & drinks: The food is phenomenal, four course meal a the appetizer a salad your main course with a choice of potatoe if you don’t get the au graten you are robbing yourself and the desserts delicious. They have speciality drinks and those we all know and they are reasonably priced.

Arrived for Easter dinner with 3 other guests. Food big disappointment. Chicken Capone was dry and rubbery. Chicken Parm was the same pasta and sauce were good though. Butternut Ravioli was Blaine and dry tasteless. Final dinner was Duck ordered well done came out med very chewy and lack of flavor.Been here several times meals were always great. Something changed. Very disappointing and highly overpriced for quality.Last trip to Whatley Inn.
