Lovely place, mediocre food and service. Sole Bonne Femme was barely warm. If there was crabmeat in the stuffing it was well hidden. Potatoes Au Gratin LOOKED delicious, but again, were barely warm. Same with the Lobester Bisque.
Went there for a romantic birthday dinner.
Had never been before. Was very happy with every aspect of our dinner.
Food & drinks: Some of the best clam chowder I've ever had! The Coquille St. Jacques was a first for me and definitely did not disappoint!! Will definitely be back!

The Whately Inn has always been one of my favorite restaurants, although I was very disappointed with the service recently. My husband was in the area doing some errands and his plan when done was to call the restaurant and order a certain dish to bring home and surprise me. Unfortunately when he did, they insisted that he use a credit card to order and would not accept cash when picking up the order. Not everyone carries credit cards and still prefer to use cash as payment. I'm...
