Anchor House Restaurant and Catering

My mother used to bring us to the Lake behind the restaurant to swim when I was about 5 yrs old (I am 60+ now). We used to also go in and eat and it was wonderful. So many great memories, I am so happy it's still there but wondering, where is the big pot that used to be outside?

Nice restaurant but a little on the pricey side.

We had the worst service, the waitress was rude, never smiled, never asked if the food was ok never refilled our drinks and the food smelled bad had to be sent back. I will never return to this place.

I'd say a 4 mainly due to great atmosphere and service. Food was very good, not great.

Stopped in to see a great trio band with some friends, enjoyed prime rib special, worth the trip for sure!

This place is great. Staff is friendly. Selection is good. Seared tuna with risotto is incredible. Good for kids and full family.

the service was terrible, the bartender was more interested in a couple of young guys. will not go back there again.

Usually very good but tonight we were seated and waited another 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted to order. At that point we were ready to leave. Took forever for food, no bread which was always given to us before and we asked twice for it, 20 minutes apart. He said sure no problem. Still never came. No offer on anything to drink after we quickly finished our 1st small soda, which came half way through our meal. Our 5 year old daughter finished her choc milk too, and yet no offering to get her more. The water tasted horrible. Like an ashtray of metallic water honestly. We told our waiter and he said chef went to fix it. Gave a second glass of water and it was just as bad. No idea what was going on but wondered if they changed ownership. Only plus was when the food came out it was hot.

Worst experience ever. Mcdonalds has nicer seating than this place. We placed our order and the table was given bread and butter with no knife or silverware. The waitress did not come back from sitting at the bar until our food arrived. Never checked on us after either and had to ask for silverware. Had to change orders three different times due to them being out of the ingredients. What a terrible place not to mention the local trash loudly having inappropriate conversations at the bar and bartender drinking and talking about masturbating in the afternoon. Wrong person would sue this dump. Fix your place
