Please be advised that on March 17 a patron of this restaurant had a bad experience. She proceeded to post about it on Facebook and several friends stated they were going to give Root 20 a bad review online. I have no problem with someone sharing their experience, but it’s not fair if people who have never visited write bogus reviews without having, a first-hand knowledge of the restaurant. It’s great to look online and be able to see what others have thought of a restaurant but, sadly, as with all things Internet related, there are some false reviews. I frequently visit route 20 and love the food and the staff. The owners are incredibly generous to , the community both in Wilbraham and Springfield. I am a public school teacher and route 20 has been very generous to my school and others.

The service was horrible. Never got to experience what the food taste like because we never got it after waiting so long the waitress was rude and the owner was even worst.

Went here today-BIG MISTAKE!!! Waitress was actually fine-took our order but we waited for over 1 hour. The surrounding tables received their food, drinks and left......still no food for us(party of 3). When we asked about our order, we were told that our ticket(food order) got lost. Food finally came out-waitress told us she would take care of the mishap. At the end of our meal, we asked to speak with the manager (meanwhile, they were offering free desserts to take). Manager(owner) Laurie came over with an attitude, stated she already knew about lost ticket but here's a free dessert. We told her she should comp the entire order (salad, chicken tenders, soup & fish chips) she really got extremely rude and told us things happen and to leave----GET OUT! We left the packaged up desserts on the table and left! PS.... we were the only melanated people in the restaurant............

We go to route 20 often and always a great experience. We love the atmosphere, the food (love the salmon and their Caesar salad is huge and delicious !) the staff and bartenders are very attentive. It’s also nice to walk in to smiling faces at the door from the hostesses. Glad we have a “cheers” in our community!
When I am in town I make it a point to make a visit (or two) to the Route 20 Bar & Grille!A true "Cheers" atmosphere with plenty of beers on tap and a very good menu with something for everyone to enjoy!Plus...KENO!They also have music every Thursday through Saturday by local artists that makes the evening even better!Everyone at "Route 20" are polite, professional and friendly.Make it a point to stop by, you will not be disapointed!

Disappointed in prices-expensive, we were charged for iced tea and soda refills $3/each-soft drink charges were $18 for 3 people!! which were primarily ice, french fries were cold, BLT sandwich - bacon was sparce- tasted like lettuce and bread.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu

I was in the plaza for other business and decided to stop in for lunch. Place was empty as they just opened so had the bar to myself. No more than 30-45 minutes later the bar was full and looked as if filled with regulars. Margret and her trainee did a fantastic job behind the bar. We had some fun as I didn't know what I wanted to eat so we coin flipped it. Chicken parm won as well as the cheesecake. The food was delicious. Pasta tasted home made and the chicken had that perfect crisp bite to it. Cheesecake melted in my mouth. I popped in once before and remembered I wasn't overly crazy about the place but happy I stopped in today because my opinion certainly changed for the better.
