Don't know what happened to this once great seafood place. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The current owner has changed the batter for the fish and it was not good at all. He even changed the type of cooking oil to disgusting vegetable oil that leaves the fish greasy and makes the new batter taste like it. Ugh! The batter was not crisp and tasty like George made it. It was as if we entered the twilight zone of fish shops. It was almost as if vegans took over food prep and quality and/or type of ingredients. Tartar sauce was even different, yuck. The new owner should warn customers about the fish and chips: I expected the same quality of white fish that George sold us in the past...we didn't get that. I'm not sure what kind of fish we were served but it wasn't cod, or even pollock.Fish portions were pathetic for a fish and chips dinner (very small) for the cost of $15.00 a pop. So disappointing. Now there are no more good fish and chips joints left in my local area of western mass....

The best! Got the Fisherman's Platter, good portion the coating used for the seafood is perfect! Light, crispy & so good.

Went there today as a treat from my wife. Ordered the Captain's Platter, which now costs $40.00 (used to be $32 for MUCH more). When the order came out, it was a small basket, not a platter! What used to be a "WOW!" is now a "what?" They raised the price by more than 20% and shrunk the order by 50%! My wife and I used to be able to share it, but not anymore! Where we used to get a couple of pieces of fish, accompanied by healthy portions of scallops, shrimp and (why I came) whole clams. I honestly thought they forgot half the order!! We are voting with our feet. I live 30 miles from the store, and it used to be worth the occasional trip, but no more. We're out.
Wow...So we will go out of our way to find whole belly clams, and surprise surprise we didn't have to travel that far....We look for an amazing batter, who fries them right, who has great quality, who's vendor is on point for freshest seafood deliveries!Well here we could not have been HAPPIER.Juicy, perfectly coated and friedNot to mention an amazing portion compared to almost any other location we have ever been tooMy picture truly won't do it justice, I wish I had a tape measure lol to show you what was really in the basket ?They even said the day before they had even bigger whole bellies... you can bet your bottoms ill be calling at opening time some days to see when they do cause we'll be one of the first ones in line..Thanks WS for an amazing meal.

Went today for first time food was amazing fish and chips yummy and the buffalo tenders yummy also the coleslaw prob best ive had in a long time great food.

Best seafood restaurant around! The food is delicious and the portions are large. Everyone there is very friendly, especially the boy with the light brown hair he's the best and also really funny and handsome and cool and nice and also kind

Fast friendly service, nice vibe in the place & very fresh/tasty seafood! I had the fisherman's platter. It was a little pricey but honestly that is the norm since Everything is going up. Considering what I said in the 1st sentence, the food was worth every penny :)
