1st time coming here. The food was beyond fantastic. Cheeseburger and Onion Rings really hit the spot. Would highly recommend! Decor inside was nice too. Very "local diner in country" kind of vibes too.

Service is poor, never an offer for a refill on the coffee or have a server ask how the food is until they bring the bill. The food is greasy spoon with a hefty price tag. Typical these days. I miss the quality of old school breakfast joints, with smiling faces, the sound of bustling patrons and workers... Having grown up in a family owned and operated restaurant that treated every customer like a regular, I felt like I was overlooked at the snack shack, that asking for a refill on a coffee was just asking too much. Can't say I will miss this place. Luckily for them they are the only place in town.

I live so close to here, it could be so great. But it's not. Everything tastes like everything that has come before it. I'm not sure anything is cleaned because it all tastes, and smells, like the entire menu in one bowl. The beach/picnic vibe is so odd too. People are nice enough, but a little motivation, maybe keeping things simpler with the menu, and some work on cleaning and freshening the place up could go a long way.

Only a short drive from Northampton. The food was great! We ordered the smaller appetite fried fish fillet and also the smaller clamstrips plate. Both came with slaws, fries, and, best of all, malt vinegar! We had rolls with some very good butter pats too! The fish and clam strips were perfectly battered and fried. They have a great recipe for their batter, very crispy and light. I highly recommend this place! We have had other dishes, chili dogs and hot dogs and burgers. All were very good. The small appetite plates are around $14, everything very reasonable and well done. They have a nice dining room, nice picnic tables and regular tables. You could dine outside also, at picnic tables with umbrellas. Plenty of parking, handicapped parking as well. Check their hours, I think they close at 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.
