There are no words for how awful our meals where. My husband and I can't remember ever having a worse meal. I had the veal and it was tough and tasteless. My husband had the trout and it was drowned in butter. Awful. The dessert was Atrocious. Apple crumb or cobbler, I guess that was what it was, served with whip cream on the side because they ran out of ice cream. It tasted like stale Entenmanns. Actually that's not fair to Entenmanns. Stale Entenmanns is tastier than the Bistro's Apple Cobbler. How do you mess up an Apple Cobbler? We didn't say anything to the staff because we were with my son and his friend and did not want to make them uncomfortable. I'm giving one star to the restaurant because the wait staff were very nice. I can't give the food or atmosphere a star.

Went for a spur of the moment date and had the best dinner. I ordered the sirloin and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Dessert I split the apple Dutch cake, amazing. Our server, Marissa, is so sweet and knowledgeable. Perfect secret chill spot in Williamstown,

We visited for Christmas Eve and may have joined at the tail end of everyone's night at 8 pm. It's a bit challenging to describe the place as I am unsure of its decor and the cuisine it is trying to reflect. I'm thrilled we sat in the bar area, as the other dining room was freezing. Sadly, not one dish met our expectations. The food was often overcooked, dry, and certainly not the best quality. I recognize that Christmas Eve is a tough night, but for those traveling - we are seeking a special night with the right ambiance and food. Otherwise, a restaurant should not open. The management was trying, but there's a lot of chit-chatting between staff and locals who visit, which takes away from efficient service and attention. This experience is one star, yet rating it two stars as they were pleasant and can tell they were working hard. Overall, we picked up food on the way home.

In my opinion, Alexander “Sandy” Smith is hands-down, the best chef in Western MA… Been going to his restaurants for over three decades. (I crave his sesame tuna- there is no better) However- as someone who cooks quite well, never before had Thanksgiving to go- but due to family surgey ordered from Gramercy Bistro… ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS!!!!!!! Every part was so delicious and well packed family style- perfect portions, even had leftovers. Gravy and homemade cranberry sauce were to die for- squash, green beans, turkey- everything was P•E•R•F•E•C•T! Just 15min in the oven and we had the Thanksgiving dinner you can only dream of… THANK YOU!

1st ever I had restaurant food the a holiday, and boy was it the right decision ! It was take out style and everything was amazing - very traditional and just like home, if you or your Mom was an amazing cook. Package great & labeled with eating directions. I love all their food & highly recommend for any occasion.

Honestly, I came here to just see the reviews and if they would be a true reflection of this establishment and the assessment is correct. This was not an off night, they truly feel that the service that they provide is up to par. I would not recommend this restaurant in any capacity. We were all but insulted indirectly and made to feel as if we were not valued, as if we were going to skip out on the check for a lousy $60 bottle of wine (wine list sucks by the way), the waitress was horrible… Every question warranted a strange and pointless remark. We simply asked for cheese on our burgers and her response was “We are a fine dining restaurant we don’t have American cheese”…..! It was giving , “Do you have any grey poutine vibes” without the ambiance and food to match. Before you act all high and mighty, please put a little salt and pepper on the burger!! #geez #finedining #dobetter

Had dinner here twice in the last couple of weeks and both times very good. At the top of my list for a fancier meal in Williamstown.

This is not a place were customer comes first, which greatly impacted our experience. We were not allowed to push our table together to be with the birthday party because the WAITERS GET CONFUSED! I ave been a waitress for 20 years and with 4 tables all our party, 2 waiters can figure it out. Instead we had to sit isolated from our party, and had to spend money on a mediocre meal.Vegetarian options: Burger was thin but tasty overpowered with a big white bun. Fries are not what the menu says, hand cut, but cheap frozen commercial string version.

Great food, friendly staffThey are slow, but the food is worth the waiting. We went for a family dinner and were pleasantly surprise to find fine dining in a college town. Worth the effort.

1. The owner is fundamentally rude and exploitative to her staff. 2. The food is mediocre at best and very expensive for what it is. A wedge salad is tiny, it costs $16 and she basically charges NYC prices in tiny Williamstown. 3. On top of all that, the owner is exploitative of her staff. She has one single server (an older nice woman by the name of Karen) serve a full dining room. As we were having dinner, she had 27 guests in the dining room and only one server. 4. Therefore service is slow and the experience is unpleasant. 5. As a small business, the owner is basically pocketing all the profit herself at the expense of Karen, the server. 6. I wrote all this down on a piece of paper that I handed to her as I was leaving, but she refused to read it, so I am making it public so she can read it now. 7. I tipped Karen well because she did a great job but I DO NOT RECOMMEND that anyone eat at this restaurant. It is expensive for what it is, food is highly mediocre and service is painfully slow, not to speak of the massively huge lack of hospitality of the owner!
