Have been a long time customer. Their chef stormed out screaming at us just because we politely asked the waitress about our food, after waiting over an hour. This place is a joke when the boss isn’t around. The staff slack and treat customers like an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Absolutely disgraceful service.

We enjoyed dinner here last night, and were extremely impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Everything was plated beautifully and came out nice and hot. Our server Gina was a true delight, she was warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. She was knowledgeable about the food and made excellent recommendations, which we took and enjoyed immensely. We look forward to returning for both the food and the service. Top notch restaurant!

Enjoyed a gyro for dinner that was very tasty. My SO and I split a dolmades which was also very good. Can't remember what my SO had to eat that night but he enjoyed it. My only complaint was that the door was open to serve outdoor seated guests and it got chilly inside.

We enjoyed the authentic menu and fresh food. Care was given to the preparation of each dish. We left full and happy
Parking: Saturday at the tail end of the farmers market and a game at the college; so parking was difficult to find, particularly since we had never been here before

We arrived sans reservation on a Saturday night. Place was a'hoppin. Offered us seats at the bar. Lucky us. We were served by none other than the maitre d'hotel. Mr. Fahri Karakaya. The vodka espresso martini fortold of great things to come. The cacio e'pepi was inventive and tasty. My partner had a delicious vegetable beef soup (from scratch). Our meal ended with coffee and a snifter of cointreau. Monsieur Fahri was a whirlwind...like Bernstein conducting Shostakovich. Nevertheless he made time for us. I would suggest that he is the Stanley Tucchi of Williamstown, but Mr. Karakaya is in a whole other class. We will return. Blessings and thanks.

Great food! Excellent service. Authentic food. I loved the falafels-a favorite of mine❤️ The serving staff and bartender, Dmitry, were both pleasant and efficient.
Vegetarian options: Hummus based dishes, falafels and salads are offered. The chef catered my main dish with care-just right- for my dietary needs as requested -without goat cheese. Still savoy and delicious. Thanks!

This restaurant is a must-visit, especially for vegans! Their menu has a fantastic selection of plant-based options, all with fresh flavors. The vegan mezze platter was a highlight packed with hummus, baba ganoush. I also had the falafel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations. Also, one thing I noticed is that they ask if you have food allergies and my friend is allergic to soy, and they took care of it very well. So whether you're vegan or not, the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be returning!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Mediterranean restaurant with my family, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with beautiful Mediterranean decoration. I ordered the braised field lamb, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned with a delightful blend of spices. The trio platter was also a standout for the appetizer. The dishes were beautifully presented. To top it all off, we had baklava for the dessert. Overall, this restaurant is a true gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place will not disappoint. I can’t wait to come back!

I have made a number of visits to Plates in the recent months, and I take extreme exception to the review (Moran) that condemns the waitstaff. While the reviewer noted that she was treated well, she excoriates the waiter for the treatment given a customer identified as Muslim. This does not square with the treatment of people of color that I have witnessed nor does it square with the personalities, temperaments, and professionalism of any of the waiters I have encountered, and I’ve met all of them. The staff is truly the most diverse, attentive, welcoming and polite that one can hope to find anywhere. They hail from around the world (South America, China, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey…). The owner is Muslim.
Perhaps the complainant was guilty of confirmation bias, but based upon my experiences, as well as those of others whom I trust, I can’t believe the allegations of that review. This is all subjective, of course, so I urge people to find out for themselves.
Plates is a superb restaurant in every respect from Chef Carlos’ exquisite creations to the elegant decor to the wonderful and congenial waitstaff!

Overall lovely lunch experience. Service was attentive. The food (grilled whole fish and lentil soup) excellent. The room, photos, music, noise level, all fine. This is a quality restaurant.

We made a reservation for a particular time, but when we arrived there was not a single table set aside for us. We were lucky there was 1 table outside left (which was prepared for 2 people) that was the first thing i was a little furious about. We later moved inside when there was a table available, one of the waiters seemed to have lost her tongue and was not really good at communicating. Its a bit harsh for me to say it, but it was not a very comforting experience. I ordered the steak frites, now there is nothing bad about the flavor it was great, but portion wise it felt as if i had way more potatoes and just a little bit of steak. Besides, they asked how i wanted it cooked and i told her medium rare. Not a single piece was medium rare. Why even ask at that point? I had almost everything well done. Would i eat here again? Maybe if they ‘Reserve’ a table if you make a reservation, and i would not order the steak frites again
