We experienced the usual exceptional service at the Barn last weekend. The staff happily moved our reservation time created a cozy spot for our party of 4 and served delicious appetizers and meals from their expanded menu.
Beautiful restaurant in a great part of town. The menu is veggie friendly and the food is prepared and served creatively. Our server was friendly and helpful. Prices are very fair. We look forward to visiting in every season.
We went for brunch on a Sunday. It was busy but not too crowded but they must have been understaffed in the front as the two servers and the host were running around a lot, took a while to take our order, kept apologizing. We didn't understand what the issue was - we've been to more understaffed restaurants that performed better - we were more amused than bothered by it and did not inquire as to what the problem was or wasn't. The food was very good to excellent and it seems the kitchen was functioning well as it came out quickly. A little on the pricey side for what it was, but no complaints. If we went again we would go for dinner before passing ultimate judgement.
We tried to have brunch at 1:00 last Sunday and were told (rather rudely) that they were only allowing guests with reservations. The restaurant was empty. Many available tables yet we were turned away. Embarrassing. Won’t be back soon.
Love breakfast and dinner. Haven't had lunch but I'm sure it would be delicious!! Served with a smile and a lot of heart.
A very nice ambiance and would come again. Would appreciate a little more time between the appetizer and meal. Nice wine selection and vibe..Thank you!
Lovely warm staff and service. The Maitre'd was exceptional and so kind. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the trout and beef ribs. A delightful welcoming experience that was both celebratory and enjoyable without any stiffness. Kudos all around.
This is our 3rd time at the Barn Kitchen. I had the crabcake, pork chop and apple pie. My partner had fried artichokes, trout and tiramisu. We both started with a cocktail and switched to white wine for dinner and finished our desserts with double espressos. We both had an enjoyable experience and will be back again. Thank you!
As usual, the dining experience was excellent. Lovely ambiance. Great service. Abby was wonderful. A lovely meal, a lovely experience in a lovely setting.
Great staff, food, service and ambiance. The focaccia was great. The salmon was perfectly prepared although had to remove the skin. The bolognaise was excellent. Also they were very helpful when I asked for a unique cocktail for which they didn't have an ingredient.

Despite its somewhat misleading name, this is a place of fine dining---the food is wonderful, the price is good and the service outstanding. Can't go wrong here!
Average food, but service terrible. Basically shoved out the door in 30 minutes. No drink order and when it was ordered done wrong.
Dinner w friends while staying at the inn. Lovely server, food was delish, yummy cocktails. Recommend !
We were drawn to the barn kitchen and bar because it had clearly marked gluten-free entrees and as well appeared to be high quality restaurant. The wait staff were very familiar with gluten-free needs and they also had an allergist food sensitivity specialist on staff that talked to us. The food came out as quickly as we needed. I had the parsnip soup as an appetizer and my wife had the arugula salad. Both were very tasty and fresh. For entrees I had the coconut vegetable curry stew. My wife had the Alfredo shrimp with gluten-free pasta. She claims it was some of the best pasta that was gluten free. Both had exquisitely good sauces and we're very tasty. They had a very good gluten-free brownie with ice cream for dessert. We should mention that the host was also accommodating and concerned about all of our needs and pleasantries. Lastly they're negroni is good if you like a sweet negroni.
