Fantastic lunch here in March 2024. They were nice enough to give us a basket of 1/2 sweet potato + waffle fries with our meals. My Reuben was perfect. The tenderloin chocken was great no idea which local beer I got - but it was great.

This place was out of so many things we tried to order, and they only let us know way after the order was placed and after waiting for 5+ minutes. No steak or clam chowder. Perhaps it was for the best, as the food was extremely disappointing. Saltiest and burnt waffle fries, while the ribs were loaded with sodium and tough. I know small town restaurants can be hit or miss but this was a bigger miss than expected. Service was slow and inattentive.

I had lovely fluffy flakey fish & chips - crispy not oily - and on my second visit same week - I again had fish tacos! Such fresh fish - no fishy smell... Prices were very low! Wide selection of bespoke beers - Maybe 15? - all on tap Cheerful staff! Unpretentious and GOOD!

we asked the 'host' to seat us away from people and we were seated next to two despite empty tables being available. Then he seated another couple with heavy perfume next to me. One server added to the loudness of the room by discussing her astrological signs and that she was a Cancer on the cusp of Gemini to not only one table bit repeated her story to another table while literally flapping her arms while there was food for a table that sat there dying. The fish tacos were not worth getting, the plate was swamped with Sysco waffle fries to disguise the lack of culinary skill, the cole slaw lacked any seasoning, my wife's dish supposedly had a pesto drizzle that had no flavor in addition to the lump of chicken breast thing. Server came over and placed the bill and I asked her if she was going to offer any dessert or coffee. She said that the coffee is old and would not be freshly made and that an ice cream sandwich was available. Was the staff not trained to 'push' menu items? As we left, I informed the apathetic host that the bathroom needs some attention because there were paper towels scattered on the floor. He looked at me and said,'What can I do about it, it's not my job', and I suggested that he tell the manager (if there was one) or call one of the employees. All in all, the space feels dirty and you come to that result when you pick up a salt shaker and it is greasy along with the table. I did not expect a Michelin star restaurant but I did hope that it would be decent pub food. It's not and that's the last time I will ever go. Overpriced and not a good value, no heart and soul in that food. The evening's finale was seeing all the empty beer cans in the grass next to my car in the parking lot. It just says that no one cares and that there is no pride.

We ordered the chicken wings. It was very good. But the ribeye steak that we ordered in medium rare came as well done. A little disappointed but it was still ok. The service was acceptable. Price was reasonable and the wait was short.

Would recommend and would return! Great local spot with a down home tavern feel. Started with a basket of hot crisp waffle fries, perfect. The waitress suggested a chipotle mayo for dipping and it really elevated the fries. I had the tavern Reuben which was packed with pastrami, really hit the spot. My wife had a massive grilled chicken salad. Very fairly priced for high quality tavern favorites. Friendly and professional staff which was the icing on the cake.
