Pizza Mia - Uptown Deli

Tried to order a pizza and was told 30 minutes. Got there 30 minutes later and waited another 40 mins. Place was full of people with the same look that they had been waiting forever. Don’t waste your time with this place.

My 30 mins wait for 3 pizzas was over 1 hr. If they had told me from the beginning they had a large 25 pizza order before mine, I would have had options to order elsewhere. By the time the pizzas were ready, my event was over. Then the lady behind the counter wanted to blame me for not saying something sooner. I got to the place 10 minutes after I place the order on the phone. Someone had over 40 minutes to tell me (as I was pacing the entire place) that they would not get to my order for another 30 mins.

Great customer service!!! (Almost too good) The blonde teenage boy named Tyler was borderline flirting with me and my entire family and even gave us his phone number for “special events”. A little odd, but great food!

Ordered takeout from Pizza Mia this evening after seeing so many posts about it in the town of Wilmington Facebook group. The pizza was great and the staff was very friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Pizza Mia has always been a staple in our house, but I recently ordered some catering with the help of the owner, Don, and he is great! Super easy to work with, made recommendations based on how many people/the type of party I was having, and even called to check in on my order the day before. If you're looking for catering & great customer serivce, I highly recommend!

Ordered a roast beef sub with sauce & cheese. I swear there was more bbq sauce than roast beef. I’ve never seen a thinner sub. The few ounces of roast beef were thick and tasteless. Just a horrendous attempt of a sandwich! This was my 2nd try with this place and my last. The first time was a greasy, rubbery chicken parm…plus the place looks like it is on desperate need of a good scrubbing inside and out. Save your money and find another place.

3rd and last time ordering lunch from this restaurant. First time was a chicken parm sub and it was nothing but grease and chewy/tough chicken cutlets. The 2nd time was an eggplant parm and again, super greasy and inedible. Today was my last time, who can mess up a roast beef sub with sauce & cheese - well, this place can! The roast beef was much too thick and the sub was incredibly thin! Looks as if they added a single layer of roast beef! I asked for extra sauce and it was no where near “extra” After looking around closely…the place needs a big time cleaning - inside and outside. There are NO chairs to sit and wait. The employees (all 3 times) are not the friendliest. I’m all set…did I mention the portion size is no where near what they charge.

I lived in Wilmington 20 years ago and this place was there and is still just as good. Quick, inexpensive, delicious. Lots of sleepovers were spent eating these pizzas!!
