This place is under new management, but this isn't advertised. I would say they changed hands around 4-6 months ago.
Used to be delicious, big portions and favorably priced. New people have not switched to a new menu but also don't honor the old one... So when you order things you've been ordering for years, they just say they don't have it. I gave it a shot around 4 times after realizing they had new owners to see if they'd be able to uphold the previous level of quality and they cannot. I now go to Gardner for my Chinese food, which is a shame because this was my favorite place :(

I ordered the family style bean curd — the tofu had great texture, and the veggies were very fresh and perfectly cooked. The fried rice had ample amounts of pork and tasted great.

Ordered take out, have been going here for years, don't know what happened but everything is now over sweet or over salted, bland or (our egg foo young sauce) tasted sour. Even the pork fried rice was almost white.

Since there's been new owners, it's absolutely terrible. We got a simple order and it was wrong and took almost an hour for delivery. The rice is awful and so dry!! There was nothing good about this place dont waste your money! I don't see it lasting long

Tried to order dinner today with a coupon that was on the menu. We were told they would not honor coupon at this time because of new ownership. Ok, I guess I’ll drive to sawa from now on.
Under new ownership. They have white rice that is suppose to be fried rice. Gave us egg food young with no gravy. We have been going there for over twenty years and will never go back now.

Don't waste your hard earned money here. Not only did the order not come correct and they charged us extra for things we didn't get or didn't even ask for. The food is so bland. The rice is awful. No flavor at all. Might as well just eat white rice. The crab Rangoon filling isn't terrible but the dough is gross and not cooked right and there is like a teaspoon of filling in them. The ribs dry and again not flavorful. General tso's wasn't terrible either. Beef lo mein, also flavorless. We will never go back here. What a waste of money and a huge disappointment. Either don't get Chinese or go out of town. Would be nice if Winchendon had another option for Chinese. My guess if they are even a tad better than Freinds Garden would put them out of business. I am really not sure how anyone enjoys this Chinese food?! I'd rather give a zero rating but guess I have to choose something

The jumbo shrimp were overcooked, and the pork fried rice was unexpectedly white, with just a few pieces of shrimp and pork mixed in. While we’ve enjoyed the food in the past, we’ve noticed that many of the takeout items are a bit overpriced for the quality.
