You can't go wrong here. Great staff. Great menu. Ambience is typical new england rustic.

They need to update their site. I spent $43 on tewo orders of fish and chips, The fish was miserable and tiny, and it was all loaded with cheap chips. I had heard the place used to be good. If so, they've let is slide. Won't be going back.

Always have pleasure walking in and seeing Jen and Liz behind the bar…. We usually always buy a Christmas tree from them and receive a coupon for a free fish and chip or a free chicken tender dinner…. I opted for the chicken finger dinner it came with a twice baked potato and sweet butternut squash…. The chicken tenders were lightly battered and fried to perfection keeping the tender nice and moist… The butternut squash was mashed with brown sugar and butter sweet to the taste but not too sweet…. The twice baked potato is absolutely my favorite overstuffed with sour cream and chive mashed potatoes….. I had a lemon cello blueberry Cosmo and it absolutely hit the spot… my husband chose the cheeseburger which came with two sides a heaping pile of crispy hot french fries and batter dipped onion rings which the breading was outstanding….l. Along with the ambience I definitely give it a five out of five

Not peanuts, but popcorn for free appetizer. Surf & Turf. Charming diner. Attentive wait stall. Chicken Parmesan easily feeds two. Haddock done to perfection.

It's been a few years since I ate at Little Anthony's. I grew up in the area and when visiting family always made a point of enjoying a meal here. I dont know if ownership has changed or what has happened to this restaurant, but it has gone downhill. The batter that they use on there fried shellfish and fish tasted terrible and it appears that they havent changed the oil in awhile. The clam chowder has no flavor and the mushrooms were inundated with cheese. The portions are large but we ended up throwing most of our orders away. If you are willing to spend well over $100 for seafood, do yourself a favor and head to the beaches.

I must start by saying I have never, in the past, had a bad meal here and made a point to always bring friends from out of town since the food was consistently delicious. That being said, we were finishing up a very busy day with no time to make dinner so we thought "Let's get take-out from Little Anthony's!" Big mistake. My husband had shrimp scampi which he enjoyed although the pasta was slightly overcooked. His shrimp were cooked perfectly and the plastic to-go container was easy to eat from. I ordered the fried haddock since it had always been the best. This time, the container was a pleasant surprise - sturdy cardboard that did not cause the meals to "sweat" so the fish was still crispy. Actually, "crispy" is an understatement. It was so overcooked that I needed to use a steak knife to cut it and the fish was totally dried out and inedible. One for the trash. Next, I tried the baked stuffed potato which was wrapped in aluminum foil and kept separate from the other food. This, too, was overcooked and I could not cut through the skin with a serrated steak knife. To add insult to injury, the potato stuffing was very pasty and the amount of garlic and salt was overwhelming. Two for the trash. Now we come to the maple cinnamon carrots which were so overcooked that they crumbled when I tried to pick some up with a fork. With a spoon, they were just mush with the right amount of maple but overwhelming cinnamon. Three for the trash. My husband ate his entire meal and I had peanut butter and jelly. So disappointing. I hope this was just one bad night at what was my favorite local restaurant.
