Excellent bagels — fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. Simple, classic, and done right. Highly recommended.

I stopped in to grab two bagels with cream cheese for takeout, total should’ve been $8.38. Later, I noticed the cashier had added a 25% tip (about $2) without asking or even mentioning it. That’s not okay.

It’s not about the two dollars, it’s about principle. Automatically adding a tip without the customer’s consent for a takeout feels sneaky and unethical. I can’t help but wonder how many people who stop by every morning for a quick bagel or coffee are getting charged extra without realizing it.

If this is how they run things, I won’t be back.

The bagels are absolutely top-notch and always fresh. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the service is fast, even during the morning rush. 5 stars.

Two workers were absolutely disrespectful and laughed at me when I walked in and ordered at 1:30pm and proceeded to laugh at me for ordering two sandwiches. Then got upset when I didn’t tip them for laughing at me.

This location does not have smoothies so we purchased what we thought was fresh squeezed orange juice. It tastes sour and bad for $5 a cup. The employee told me it is from concentrate. The presentation is misleading and the food is low quality.

I love Brueggers!!! I grew up going to the one in Belmont center and then when I moved into Boston I went to the downtown location. After that one closed my boyfriend and I decided that the Winchester location and the longwood location were equidistant from us. The workers were kind here and the service was very fast. Please don’t ever close down another location!!

There were 2 long hairs in our sandwiches and they tasted like plastic

Ordered ahead at Winchester location. Upon arrival at 1:30PM (closing at 2 per website) the staff was already shutting down and declining new customers. They informed us that our order was made but only on plain bagels (despite requesting otherwise). I attempted to look over the order and the staff immediately noticed and said ‘it’s all there’. When returning home, come to find out the two cream cheeses ($4.89 each) were not in the bag and one of the sandwiches and hash browns ordered was missing (half of a $44 order). Called the store to ask for a refund for missing items and they asked that we return in person the following day to which I declined. I am not going back to this store to deal with this never mind the fact I have no intentions of ever ordering from Bruegger’s again.

I had a wonderful time at The Bagel Spot & Cafe in the upscale neighborhood of Winchester-Boston! After checking out of a nearby hotel, I stopped by this cozy spot and was delighted to find a bustling atmosphere. Despite being a small shop with only 18-20 tables, it was pretty full, which speaks to its popularity.

The prices were average, with our group of 4 paying around $9 per person with coffee. The working staff were friendly and very busy taking orders, but still managed to provide great service.

One of the best parts? Free parking was available on the spot in the strip shopping lot! No hassle or extra fees, which was a lovely surprise.

Overall, I highly recommend The Bagel Spot & Cafe for a delicious breakfast or snack in a charming setting. Can't wait to come back!"
