I’ve been here several times and it’s just a strange environment for a bakery. None of the staff seems happy to help or answer questions. This is particularly troubling because none of the muffins have labels. So you have to ask a completely disinterested staff member what flavor each muffin is.
Can be busy at times. The people working behind the counter are usually young and appear to be still in school. The experience varies based on their attitude but most look frazzled due to the hectic pace. Most manage a smile and are good workers. The food is excellent every time. I have been a fan of their muffins since I grew up in Winchester and have been going to this location since at least 2000. Stopped by after a walk in the Middlesex Fells Reservation nearby. There aren’t many bakeries or coffee shops in the area, and one of my colleagues from Medford had mentioned this place for its muffins. We came in the afternoon, and most of the muffin flavors were already gone, but we still managed to grab the Gingerbread, Birthday Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, and Chocolate Dreams.
