This was a catering experience with Blackstrap for a department holiday party. Melissa worked closely with us to ensure that we had the right amount of food and menu for our luncheon. Payment was easy and the pricing very reasonable. The delivery was made by the chef himself and they set up everything with care. The food was fantastic and everyone absolutely raved about the cornbread (that is something that should absolutely be added/included with any order). All around a wonderful experience and a highly recommended caterer.

The ribs were dry hard and burnt the baked beans I don't have a clue on what they were the cornbread was like a slab of concrete that was my first and last time there everything was thrown in the trash 40 bucks wasted

By far the best bbq spot I had in Boston. Not everyday you meet the owners who take five star service seriously. If you’re looking for flavor and different spices, this is the spot to go. So many sauces to try that go so well with the meats. You can tell they take the time to properly smoke and season the meats. Got to speak with the owner and he told me the different ingredients he uses and spices, I was blown away by the different ingredients that could work so well together, and come out so tastefully. Definitely recommend.

Wow had this place changed subs I last visited in 2014! I enjoyed it. Brisket was a little dry, but it was a Tuesday.

Absolutely loved this BBQ spot! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The smoky aroma hits you the moment you walk in, and everything from the brisket to the sides was top-notch.Ok service and generous portions—I’ll definitely be back!

Exactly what I want out of a local BBQ place. I love getting takeout from here too. Wednesdays they have fried chicken. I love their BBQ fries and they were very accommodating to my soy allergy.

Delicious food, extensive variety. It was pricey but the food was so good and the service was excellent. We will definitely frequent it again.

Delivery order but I live close by and I’d love to come in now that I’ve tried the food. We have surprisingly few BBQ places in Boston and before trying Blackstrap only one I was a fan of.

Happy to say I have another option now. Food was excellent. Really enjoyed my sides and hope to try more. I had the burnt ends which were also excellent and some of the best sauces I’ve had (really appreciate both sauces being included as they’re both excellent).

I tried attending a local from my community band who was performing Andrew. I other than supporting his band and local businesses my plan besides supporting Andrew wax go get a bite to eat and have soda water nothing else.
I was told in the uneducated employees to leave. I left and sent the band member information about attempting to attend his performance and the false accusations.
The business is terrible and I’m planning on contacting my attorney to put these false accusations by this unprofessional business out there making others aware. This post and my previous posts of your unprofessional behavior will not stop

Meh. Reading the reviews, this is probably the best BBQ around and getting jammed with customers - price point is high and delivery order was pretty bad.

This is not a destination BBQ place, don’t go out of your way for it.

Called ahead to find out what was gluten free gf - wings are fried, they can be grilled, but that isn’t an option ordering online.

I’m in town 1 night at the airport Hilton - very close, <20 minutes for the delivery - so that doesn’t account for the lackluster quality of what was received.

Salad was good - appreciate they suggested ranch for gluten free vs blue cheese.

Two meat plate - 3 ribs. Asked for ‘wet’ brisket. Everything is dry as a bone. I’m not an advocate for ‘fall off the bone’ but these ribs were dry. Brisket is too - if I wasn’t hungry, I’d not eat it.

What is good: sauce is unique, collards have a touch of sweet that is really good.

Baked beans were a little watery, but would’ve been good had everything else been up to par.

Maybe it was an off night? Not the place to try if you’re in Boston - others are better. Not very good value for money. Small portions.

We love Blackstrap in my house.

Have been ordering takeout from this place for years, was a pandemic favorite. Have never dined in house, but seems like a nice resteraunt. It's my favorite bbq in the area.

On occasion, we have received some dry food (corn bread, cajun chix to be specific). But as we say in this house, the flavor is always there! ;) It has never been bad enough to make us not want to order again and have remained customers for several years.
