It used to be my favorite place, my favorite ice cream, I pay more than 20 dollars once a week to get Uber eats from this place because I don’t drive so I can’t get there, but lately they keep forgetting my sides or giving a funny portion. So sad to say bye to this place but it’s not worth it paying that amount to not get the right thing. I don’t know what happened to this place but it seems to have gone downhill. I went in and ordered a banana split which I feel is fairly simple. I drove 25 min each way to get my grandmother one since she has not had one in years and after getting home she asked where the banana is. Not just that but i specifically asked for only whipped cream, fudge and nuts so I’m confused why there’s pineapple all over it which is disgusting. I’m truly annoyed they managed to add pineapple I made a point to not have added to a banana split but failed to add banana to the banana split.
We are both also ill to our stomachs since eating.
Not just that but I’m a disabled veteran and rely on my service dog. Fortunately it was later in the night so there was less customers and I left my SD in the car. I’m glad I did because they let pet dogs in there including the one while I was there that was jumping on the counter and acting a mess. I get that isn’t on staff but I WAS under the impression it was a service dog only establishment. They also can ask a dog jumping on the counters to leave as it’s a massive sanitation issue.

A friend and I ordered frozen vanilla yogurt and sugar free black raspberry ice cream. Our *vanilla ice cream and black raspberry with sugar* ended up going to waste. Btw, this started a chain of events that ultimately led to me dropping and breaking my favorite bowl because I got startled from the uneaten ice cream dripping on my leg. Literally the worst experience I've ever had buying ice cream.

I give this place a negative star I went here for some ice cream and my other half who is disabled and after five mins of helping him in bathroom Susie started smashing in the door screaming that she was guna go get the key to open the door! It was so disgusting then I opened the door and she was screaming to leave but blocking our way to leave n then she touched him saying game a nice day cus I started recording her! So obviously didn’t get to get anything nor would I want to because I felt like vomiting after so much disrespect and discrimination.do not go here unless u want to be abused severely.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you are disabled there will be a bunch of young girls laughing and making fun of you literally so gross!
Delivery driver decided to leave our ice cream delivery on the steps outside in 85 degree weather with absolutely no notification of delivery. That said, the owner quickly reached out and made it right by refunding my order and being very nice about it. Mistakes happen, but how the business owner handles it is what makes the difference. Much appreciated.

The best place in the area! The staff are super polite. Sometimes the waffle cones are a bit soft, but the ice cream is so good that you forget about the cone. Hahaha! The place is very clean and new. The air conditioning is always on; sometimes it's even quite cold, but I guess that's normal since it’s ice cream store. The only issue is the parking. Customers don't understand that the parking lot isn't reserved for them. Despite having the whole street available, many still park in the building's parking lot, which always causes confusion.

I manage two high-volume ice cream stores, but even after a long day of working with ice cream, at the end of the day I still love to visit Twist and Shake. It’s clear to me that the owners/managers are super passionate about what they do, so even when sometimes things aren’t perfect (because when is the ice cream biz ever perfect?!), you leave happy. The staff are kind and efficient and always do their best during busy times, which is especially impressive considering how young they are. The store is gorgeous and kept cleaner than any other ice cream store I’ve been to.

Seriously good ice cream, sherbert, and cones. I got delivery which was a very seamless online process. I especially like the staff who whenever I go in person are pleasant, friendly and helpful. A total gem here in Winthrop! I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious treat.
