Love this place. My 3 sisters in laws and myself had lunch this past Sunday! Turkey dinner, chicken pot pie and the grilled chicken and veggies- all three meals were delicious. The waitress was fabulous.

Very nice evening with friends, service was great prime rib was awesome always look forward to their house salad served on a chilled plate and their signature cheese dip and crackers. My wife had the bone in veal chop.for dessert we shared a Sundae and warm chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Always an excellent dinner experience at the Winthrop Arms

Our first time experiencing Winthrop Arms after hearing about it for years and did not disappoint !! Our table was perfect and somewhat private so it was great atmosphere. Our food was so excellent everyone enjoyed & great portions !! Fred Flintstone prime rib lived up to its name. But best of all was our server Lois !! She's an absolute love ! So Hard working & so lovely - we will come back but only to sit in her section !! Thank you for making our friends Birthday celebration very special and memorable !! Can't wait to comeback !

Stayed for 3 days for a vacation, amazing place! The view from the hotel is incredible, and we loved the historic feel. The restaurant food was to die for, and the room was adorable!

Never encountered such a poorly run hire/ front desk. using corner of bar as check in?? Guy who didn't work there had to call owner to get us checked into a room. This place recently remodeled but looks like lip stuck on a pig! Poor workmanship, fire company out early in am due to false fire alarm. All tenants evacuated neighbors told us it happens all the time nothing was permitted just it it looks. Stay anywhere but here! Food just ok!

The Winthrop Arms is an Old-ie, but Good-ie! My wife and I love coming in here for the martinis but sometimes we dine in as well and the food is outstanding. You really get a lot of food for the money too which is always nice in today's economy. The vibe is definitely older with the classic leather booth seating and bread and butter served with the menu. I never leave here hungry! The variety is always great as well - I suggest any of their steak dishes or the chicken cooked under a brick! As always the service was great as well.

I worked with manager/event planner for a family event, and while the service with wait staff and food was all wonderful to good, working with the manager was less than stellar. Read your contract carefully as the cost kept changing. I was first told I paid per person (per head) and then I was told there was a flat fee amount I had to pay for no matter how many guests attended which added $300 to the total amount if not more. They didn't credit me any of the unused alcohol (we are not drinkers) from open bar. They will charge you for bartender services even if your event is no alcohol event and don't need booze served. I felt pressured into this and even though we didn't come close to spending what they allotted for alcohol, they could have credited us, and they didn't. Read your contract front and back. The manager also was impatient and sometimes down right rude with me: the event planner and host. I would go again for a meal but I would never hold an event here again if I had to work with this manager. I give it a one star for management and five for the professional and kind wait staff.

First time at Winthrop Arms, won't be our last. Large portions of yummy food. Turkey dinner was excellent and I loved the gravy. Seafood scampi was loaded. Very comfortable with nice service.

I can not say enough about our latest experience to Winthrop Arms. My husband and I have been regular customers for years. We recently moved an hour north, so when a group of friends and I were planning a little reunion, I called the Winthrop Arms and made a reservation for 16.When the day of our reservation came, my husband and I were blown away with every aspect of our evening. It's not easy to accommodate a party of 16, especially on a busy night, and yet we received exceptional service from beginning to end.We were all seated promptly. Our drink orders were taken and brought to us immediately. Our servers answered our questions with genuine knowledge and passion for the restaurant. Our food came out warm and fresh– not an easy thing to do with a party of our size.I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese. I was expecting Mac and Cheese with a few lobster pieces, but I received the meat of an entire lobster on top! My husband ordered the broiled fisherman's platter, and he was so impressed by the flavor and freshness of the seafood. We were assigned multiple servers, which meant someone was always there If we needed a drink refill, a lemon wedge, or some extra dressing. Our servers were attentive, professional, and sweet. We want to give special thanks to Casey and The Doctor and the rest of the staff! We were all impressed by the level of service we received. Not only will we continue to be regulars at the Winthrop Arms (despite the now hour-long drive for us), every single one of our friends will be returning because of the positive experience we all received that night. We decided to extend our trip by staying overnight and were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality we received. Thank you Winthrop Arms for making our little reunion so unforgettable! We can't wait to come back.Sue & Vin B
