How this place got good reviews! Got a muffin that was stone cold. Was as if it was in the freezer and not thawed properly. The coffee was the worse coffee I’ve ever had, swamp water would be a better choice! The price for this garbage was ridiculous. Don’t know about their food, but if this any indication I guess I’ll never know. Fact is I’ll never go back!

Coffee is absolutely horrible. Also got a muffin that was legit frozen. Even after putting in the microwave for 2 minutes it was still frozen in the middle. Could taste the freezer burn and to charge 4$ for a frozen muffin is a crime. The old guy behind the bar is rude and money grubbing. On uber eats and doordash they have about 6 business names. Only postive is they have a wall of veterans who served our country. Large coffee ans frozen muffin 8 bucks lol.

Amazing food and friendly service. Roger’s owned the business for 50 years, and couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming. A local gem that I found on a work trip. Highly recommend for a great Boston experience.

My husband and I go out to breakfast at a different location every Saturday morning, Winthrop was our choice a couple of weeks ago and we ended up at Winthrop Center Cafe. The food was great, but the owner Roger was the best and made us feel right at home!
Walked in for my first time as a DoorDash driver and was spoken to in a condescending manner because I didn’t come in through the “Driver door” which I wouldn’t know there was one unless I had been there before. Then the older man proceeded to speak to me very slowly as if I didn’t know how to do my job. I’m extremely upset and there was absolutely no need for it. Needless to say, I’ll never be going back neither as a dasher nor as a customer. Very disappointing.
