Amazing food and friendly service. Roger’s owned the business for 50 years, and couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming. A local gem that I found on a work trip. Highly recommend for a great Boston experience.

My husband and I go out to breakfast at a different location every Saturday morning, Winthrop was our choice a couple of weeks ago and we ended up at Winthrop Center Cafe. The food was great, but the owner Roger was the best and made us feel right at home!

Walked in for my first time as a DoorDash driver and was spoken to in a condescending manner because I didn’t come in through the “Driver door” which I wouldn’t know there was one unless I had been there before. Then the older man proceeded to speak to me very slowly as if I didn’t know how to do my job. I’m extremely upset and there was absolutely no need for it. Needless to say, I’ll never be going back neither as a dasher nor as a customer. Very disappointing.

Small but very welcoming restaurant, like a family restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is very good, prices are very cheap. I highly recommend it.

The best example of a classic American mom and pop diner. I love coming here. I always enjoy seeing constant smiles and good conversation.

Winthrop Center Cafe is so great. Comfortable atmosphere and a lot to choose from on the menu. I’ve been a few times and everything has been really good. Roger is extremely nice and very hospitable.Love that they serve breakfast later than any other spot in town for the weekend days I don’t want to eat in the morning, but still want eggs!

Love the french toast. Coffee is excellent. Service is townie.Edited to add: I think Emma Carter owns a competing breakfast spot. She can't have had that bad a time. Their food is amazing.

Spectacular Eggs Benedict, added sausages! Yummy. Winthrop is such a cozy & comfortable town. I had the Benedict with tomato and bacon bits, oh my word, every bite was good, the hollandaise sauce was subtle and perfect.

We got eggs toast and home fries,we didn't care for it, it doesn't taste good. Cheaply made food, I swear my drink was the best but that's because it was a soda, my man had a coffee tasted like Luke warm instant
