Winthrop Center Cafe is so great. Comfortable atmosphere and a lot to choose from on the menu. I’ve been a few times and everything has been really good. Roger is extremely nice and very hospitable.Love that they serve breakfast later than any other spot in town for the weekend days I don’t want to eat in the morning, but still want eggs!

Love the french toast. Coffee is excellent. Service is townie.Edited to add: I think Emma Carter owns a competing breakfast spot. She can't have had that bad a time. Their food is amazing.

Spectacular Eggs Benedict, added sausages! Yummy. Winthrop is such a cozy & comfortable town. I had the Benedict with tomato and bacon bits, oh my word, every bite was good, the hollandaise sauce was subtle and perfect.

We got eggs toast and home fries,we didn't care for it, it doesn't taste good. Cheaply made food, I swear my drink was the best but that's because it was a soda, my man had a coffee tasted like Luke warm instant

This place is wonderful! The staff is super friendly and the food is great. Their portions fill me up, it's flavorful and well made. They are happy to make reasonable requests which is great for people with special food needs. I love getting their breakfasts and iced coffee when I go. And the best part is that the price is very reasonable!

My favorite place. I drive 4 miles to come here once a week for breakfast on my day off, and don't think I didn't do my research first! I love a good diner breakfast and when I moved to East Boston I decided I'd try a different local diner each week until I found my spot. I was kind of surprised at how many mediocre places there are and I was beginning to doubt East Boston's commitment to a great breakfast... this may be because The Winthrop Center Cafe doesn't come up on Apple Maps when you search "Diner" (I think "Breakfast cafe" is what did the trick - like I said, I did my research). Anyway as mentioned above, I found my spot. The food is excellent, the man behind the counter who I assume is the owner is always super friendly and you can tell that he's got plenty of regulars by the amount of carry out customers that call him by name. The ambiance of the place is pretty unassuming. You've got your New England-mandatory portrait of JFK at Cape Cod and usually a handful of friendly seniors getting together for coffee & eggs. Ultimately it's function over fashion which is exactly how I like it. As for the food, their breakfast special is always done just right and it comes with some of the best hash browns I've ever had. They have a Brazilian menu insert tucked into the standard menu and some other unique options like "one bite sandwiches" but don't go too crazy with the menu like some of those places that offer too many things at pretty good quality instead of a few great options. Anyway that's about all there is to say... go sit at the counter and have an awesome breakfast, this place deserves your business! PS they have great coffee options too

The staff and owner Roger are wonderful. The food and drinks are amazing, and fresh. You really can't beat the price, please if you ever have a chance! Come to Winthrop Center Cafe. Also, they have a cleaning service, very hard working people who love to help and serve. I'm from Chicago and easily this is top 3 best breakfast spots for me. Great spot.

We ordered breakfast for delivery because we were, well... hung over lol. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and the hungry man breakfast I think it was called, and he ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a meatlovers omelet. Everything arrived perfectly cooked, warm and delicious. I'd really love to pop in on a day I feel great because the food was phenomenal!

Vibes be most impeccable (great water). I'm literally just writing this to fill up space because yelp makes me but if you must know then the vibes were impeccable and the water was crispy.

They have the best steak and cheese I’ve ever eaten. I can’t order steak and cheese anywhere else now. I also love their home and french fries, sautéed vegetables and egg sandwiches. I am looking forward to trying all the new Brazilian options. Everything is well seasoned and made to order. The coffee is smooth and not bitter. The photo is only part of the portion size.
