Great gem of a place. We usually go for the icecream but today we got lunch. I had the seafood salad on marble rye & my husband had a meatball sub, both were delicious. The owner is friendly & really half the reason to visit. A lot of history in that building....generations of Hallet's made that business and I hope it stays in the family for many more. Going back for ice cream before we head on back home to NJ.
Heard the store was reopened, right on 6A , S. Yarmouth.. Charlie the owner was friendly. The store was like stepping back in time. We ordered a turkey sandwich and a chocolate frappe, liquid ice-cream in a glass. Both were deliceous! We highly recommend to anyone to stop in for lunch or an old fashioned ice cream soda or a root beer float.
We stopped here when we were in town for the weekend. We had meatball subs and ice cream sundaes, which were both very good. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us while we ate lunch. I love that this has been in his family for over a hundred years. He was full of knowledge about the area. We initially stopped at another place for lunch, but decided against it. I am very glad we stopped here. There aren't tons of food options, but we love to support small, local...
