We stopped here when we were in town for the weekend. We had meatball subs and ice cream sundaes, which were both very good. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us while we ate lunch. Give them a few stars for the atmosphere and history, but the lunch fare was not good. The clam chowder was all cream and no clams, and the seafood salad very average. There is a reason they are empty at lunch while nearby places are buzzing.
Had been wanting to stop in for a while and finally did today. It was okay. The ice cream is not home made, I asked. And when he offered to split a frappe in half for my boys, I asked how big it was, he said 24 oz. so I said okay and he gave us two 8 oz. cups. For the frappe and small cup of ice cream it was $15 which I guess is standard fair now but still surprises me.
