We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, its presentation and the attentive waitstaff. Its a bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it.

The ambience is great. Menus are daily. Seafood is beyond fresh. Meals are cooked to order and are excellent.
Meals are above average expensive, but our 2 meals were superb.
Service was okay. Our waitress kinda left my wife and I hanging during our meal while she was servicing her larger tables of customers finishing their meals.
I would easily rate our meal in the high 4's if it weren't for the fact that I drank diet Pepsi during our meal while my wife had cocktails.
I had 3 heavily iced glasses of diet Pepsi during our meal.
Our final bill included charges for soda x 3 @ $4.00 each.
My issue has nothing to do with a $4 charge for a soda. It has everything to do with our spending $120 + tip for two and to then be nickel and dimed by being charged for each one of my 3 sodas.
The restaurant cost of a soda pour in an iced glass costs roughly $.03 per glass of soda, maybe less.
I don't get why such a fine restaurant had to charge me for 3 diet sodas! Bad business and not necessary for the restaurant.

Awesome experience eating in such a historical restaurant. Loved the giant fireplace and the rest of the decor throughout.

My wife and I got a reservation for 7pm. Parking was really bad, but we found a spot but in the very back. Got seated right away. The menu had a lot of options on it depending on your dietary needs, and prices for the cape were fair on most items. There were some N/A options for my wife to order which was nice, but at $12 that seems rather steep for a drink without alcohol in it. Wine list was very large (almost all bottle only). It says on the menu they give complimentary bread and butter but at the time they were running behind on it, of which we never got it while some tables that came in after us did. Not a huge deal, but maybe don't include it on the menu if it's not a guarantee? We chose to split the chowder and lobster Arancini for our apps. Both were very good, especially the chowder. It wasn't filled with bacon like 1/2 the chowders on the cape, which was nice being my wife is pescatarian. I got the shrimp scampi and my wife got the fig and mascarpone ravioli. My scampi was fine, not bad, but it didn't blow me away in anyway either. It also needed salt and pepper. My wife's dish was very good and both dishes were decent portion size. We skipped desert. The main issue we had was the food was way too quick to come out each time. If we hadn't delayed ordering our apps and our entrees, it would've been even worse. Our reservation was at 7 and we were done eating at 7:58, but actually didn't finish signing the check until 8:30, so we kind of sat with nothing to do for 30 minutes. It's better than waiting for ever on everything, so not a huge deal but definitely felt a little rushed until it came time to pay. Overall, would go back, but recommend telling your server you aren't in a rush if you like to take your time with going out to eat.

Fantastic place as usual. Transition to new ownership was well planned and managed. New owner came to table to greet and thank us. Nice touch.

Just came back from a very disappointing dinner. We have eaten here for many, many years and have generally enjoyed our dinners. Tonight, not so.

Tonight I ordered the prime rib medium. When served, it did not show any pink whatsoever consistent with medium and I pointed that out to the server who immediately agreed to replace it. What came back was something that was barely a marginal improvement. So when you are hungry how many times are you supposed to send improperly cooked food back? If they couldn’t get it right the first or second time, why should I expect the third time to be any better? And who knows what happens to your food in the kitchen after sending something back a second time? So I reluctantly ate most of it and brought it up later to a manager who was circulating. While he apologized, he implied that since I ate most of it, it must have been a satisfactory experience. He offered no accommodation whatsoever.for this improperly prepared $44 entree. While I wasn’t expecting him to comp my meal, some accommodation was expected and completely appropriate. None whatsoever was offered.

So be it. There are many restaurants on the Cape competing for my dining dollar. Obviously, the Old Yarmouth Inn is no longer interested in competing for mine so I will take my business elsewhere.

We have been dining at the Old Yarmouth Inn for over 20 years, and it has never once disappointed. Even with the transition to new ownership, Joey and his team continue to deliver the same warm professionalism and exceptional food I’ve come to expect. Every visit feels like a true Cape Cod experience — cozy, welcoming, and consistently delicious. If you’re looking for a quintessential Cape Cod dining spot, look no further than the Old Yarmouth Inn.
