My family loves Skippy's Pier 1. We have been coming here for three years. The food is great and the new deck is beautiful. A wonderful place to enjoy lunch on the water. Service is always prompt, and friendly, and there was no wait to sit. Look forward to coming back next year. When my son is a little older hopefully we'll make it back for the comedy night.

I understand that they were understaffed but geez. Can the staff be any ruder?

We ordered hamburgers and didn’t wanna make a scene, but they were the worst hamburgers we have ever eaten in our entire lives! I don’t know if they were frozen or freezer burned, but they were absolutely positively awful. We only ate less than half.

Had a GREAT meal here! Can’t beat that late summer evening weather on the dock with some lobster pasta! Only regret was I didn’t stay and watch the comedy

Stopped by without a reservation on a Monday night. All other restaurants in the area had a 1-2 hour wait. They told us they could seat us right away, but that they had a comedy show in 90 mins so we could not stay for that since it was sold out. Fine with us, we just wanted dinner. As soon as we sat down, staff kept coming by to ask if we were staying for the show, we said no each time. By the time we ordered and received our food, the show had already started - they were very slow. Our waitress was very nice and kept apologizing for the slow service. Food was very expensive for what we got. Was good but not great. The manager kept coming by and telling us that we would need to buy tickets if we wanted to stay. Even though they told us to come in and eat. The place was still only half full. Finally paid the bill and left just as the main act was coming on. Would not go back.

On a whim decided to eat at Skippys last night. The restaurant is large and inviting. We were lucky enough to be able to eat outside. The chowder wasn't hot enough but my family enjoyed the taste. The rest of the meal was great. Serve was excellent. I am glad i didn't read these old reviews before we went.

Excellent restaurant to have a family meal. They have the largest beer selection in the area.

Skippys was generally an awful experience. We came to the restaurant as a last resort and couldn't have made a worse decision. The food seemed at the time of eating like a painfully below-average offering with issues like underseasoning, strange flavors, and overcooked meat. The clam chowder seemed like it came from a can, and the lemonade we were served was literally country time mix with tap water. The service was equally as unimpressive and we experienced a rude interaction with a staff member after she spilled a tray of leftover food and water onto one of my party members. This was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I have had in years. And all for double what you hoped it would cost to choke down. All of this not to mention the instant nausea that set in shortly after leaving the building. If I could give 0 stars I would.

My dad and I have been coming to the cape for years and had never been to Skippys until a local recommended it. We got there around 7:45 pm and sat outside by the water! It was a great patio. We had cocktails and dinner plus desert. The fried scallops were SO good! The lobster ravioli was packed with Lobster which you don’t often see and the truffle fries were absolutely the best. Can’t wait to go back!
