Amazing food! I was a tourist visiting the cape, found this place and went back twice for the food that’s how amazing the food was! But unfortunately the only thing that killed it was the two old lady’s by the front desk they are super rude and nasty the way they treated me I never had someone treat me so awful, I would say I felt discriminated and felt like she was very racist. Very sad

Looks like a cozy local restaurant. I was dissatisfied with the food, I would not go back. This experience was a waste of calories and money. The potatoes and omelettes had an off taste.I'm not sure if it's the oil/margarine they cook it with or what, but something was creating an off-putting taste which made it difficult to eat. (I covered it with hot sauce and tones of ketchup, and didn't even eat half of the meal). The pancakes very mediocre, slightly underdone. When the whole business name is 'the pancake', I'd expect to eat the best pancakes..

My wife and I have been coming here for years on our annual Cape Cod trip for breakfast. The service and quality of food has always been on point. But, this recent visit was different. My wife has celiac disease, and other food allergies. And can't have any cross contamination of gluten. When asking the waitress what items can she eat, the waitress was not 100% sure. It's 2023 in the age where people have food allergies, wait staff have to be trained and knowledgeable on what people can, and cannot eat. My wife asked if she could eat a plate of their scrambled eggs, and the waitress said their may be gluten in it. And my wife said gluten is not in eggs. So I asked, how do they handle cross contamination in your kitchen for someone who has gluten allergies? And the waitress answer was, "well it's what ever they do back there". That simply was not a good enough answer. So I proceeded to get up and walk over to the manager with the short white hair. And mention that my wife has gluten allergies, what can she eat here. She explained that my wife can have their waffle, and everything will be ok. We proceeded to order their gluten free waffle for my wife, and I ordered a western omelette. Long story short, the waffle that my wife ordered turned out to be a frozen microwaved tasteless piece of bread. My western omelette was not only dry with no flavor, the breakfast potatoes had the texture of as if they were little scraps of leather that were almost uneatable. And at that point, I was not exactly happy with our experience, and wanted to pay up and leave. As I was paying at the front desk, and leaving below 15% for a tip, the manager with the short white hair was observing me said to me, "your math is wrong, your tip is too low". So I said nope. This is what I'd like to leave. She proceeded to say, "no that's not correct. Your math is wrong, you need to leave a bigger tip". At that point, I was so disgusted, and had nothing further to say to them. So I left a little bit more of a tip, and we walked out the door, knowing that I will never be returning here ever again.

A long, long time ago, this spot used to be the go-to for a breakfast adventure. Fast forward to last year and this year, and it seems like the breakfast baton was handed to Captain Meh, with food so bland it makes vanilla ice cream look wild. Either they've got a new captain in the kitchen, or both times I stumbled in were during the annual "Oops, We're Having a Bad Day" festival. Who's to say? But there's a whole buffet of other places nearby that do breakfast and brunch better.

Great fast service just very busy and the seating is tight but it didn’t bother our meal which was wonderful. Our takeout was right on time. Much more expensive than I thought for 4 adults and one chid the bill was over $100 but maybe it’s just been a while since I’ve had breakfast somewhere for breakfastsKid-friendliness: A lot of kids meals available. No crayons keeping a young one busy though

Food was pretty average, decor dated and little over priced. Servers also were sitting in the back on break instead of actually tending to customers and the manager didn't seem to care. Saw someone else mention the bottomless coffee they don't refill and that's pretty accurate.
